He can spot a player, he can improve a player and he's done brilliantly to assemble a fantastic spurs side.

    According to Spurs fans:

They have one of the best keepers in the game
They have the best back 2 in Toby and Vertoghen and have the best 2 backup cbs in sanchez and dier
They have the best fullbacks in the game
They have bests DMs in Dier, Wanyama, Dembele
The best playmaker in Eriksen and Great attackers in Son and Alli
and of course the greatest english striker their ever was.

All these brilliant players but Poch cannot win anything with them just like wenger 10 years ago.

Is poch tactically like wenger or are the spurs players overhyped?

Yep, the moaning, myopic Frenchman is well past his sell by date now, but when he was Pochettino's age he had won trophies with Monaco and went on to win loads more with Arsenal. I just can't see Pochettino achieving half as much as Wenger has if he stays with Spurs long term.

The sexual orientation of match officials AFAIK
has nothing to do with whether Pochettino is the
new Wenger or whether Spurs players are over-hyped.

Please feel free to show us otherwise ...

I don't quite understand the formula.

Best players but best manager = 5th place and no trophies in 4 years.

    Something doesn't add up.... <whistle>

    Obviously not.

That is why you thought there was a "refsarebent" variable.
I suspect unless we can get it down to "1+ 1 = 2" level, you
will be in perpetual nosebleed over the maths.

Wenger was a bit of a visionary when he arrived in England; changed the game really. He's yesterday's man now of course, but his legacy is there for all to see.

Pochettino is probably the best young coach in the country imo - a visionary like Wenger once was. He's certainly better than Klopp, and may be better than Guardiola, who it's impossible to judge anyway.

But yeah, he needs to win something with that young squad, to cement his legacy. Until he does, he's still all about potential.

Does the hype match the success or lack of it at Spurs?

They do have some decent players, if the aim is to entertain they deserve the hype but if the aim is winning trophies they're seriously lacking and undeserving of the hype.

    So far.......

Oh i forgot to add one thing Poch also has with Wenger is they lack bottle when it really counts (although i can't really throw that at wenger as they've been winning trophies lately)

    Don't mind Sucky.

He has publicly admitted he is often so stoned
that he cannot even realise when he is being spanked
with his own poor WUM attempts.
