You have to ignore the anoraks on Twitter, these guys treat F1 like a soap opera. Literal definition of fanboys/girls. It’s the same for whichever driver they follow though- the Vettel fans of 2010-2013 are out of excuses though after thinking he was the second coming It’s a crying shame that Ferrari has no downforce because it would be good to see LeClerc and Hamilton race on some other circuits. Mercedes will crush them everywhere else so you’re pinning hopes on Max and Red Bull to give us a race.
I think Charles showed Lewis that he is not intimidated, he threw the gauntlet down, which was good. Lewis now knows he has a true challenger. Lewis has more or less got this years championship (I know that are 175 points to fight for still) but next year there could be a real scrap, Lewis, Charles, Verstappen, Albon maybe, sorry can't put Bottas or Vettel in that group. There might be a surprise Renault in there too. On Vettel, we ignore he may be struggling with the death or Hubert more than others. We are all questioning his ability, some debate that as a family man he is putting his family first by not taking so many risks (if so, perversely the consequence is more risk).. Not impossible he and his wife have had some discussions following last week. What I can't accept, whatever the cause, is he is clearly not being honest either to himself or the team, or both.
It's interesting how incredibly respectful Hamilton is of Leclerc. He really seems to go out of his way to be so. After some of yesterday's moves that may get toned down a bit! Leclerc is going to be a superstar. Unusually for me, he is a Ferrari driver that I feel like rooting for. There hasn't been one of those for a while.
Reminds me of Mika and Michael. Always utmost respect between them. We’ll see how it develops, but I think Lewis just recognises class.
I think everyone recognises his talent and his personality is very good. There is a fine line between youthful enthusiasm and recklessness when racing though and he was certainly testing the limits a bit. So long as he stays at the limits and doesn't think that because of the Monza events he can get away with the kind of weaving and chopping that made Max an enemy of the state, then he should be fine for a while
I'm not sure they were so bad at complaining , well perhaps Prost . Senna doesn't count I personally would put Mansell top of the pile ( Sorry SGT ) .
It's really weird . Like he's having a pop at Seb at the same time . "It's not easy for any driver to jump into a top team, let alone Ferrari, against a four-time world champion with God knows how much more experience. "And then to continuously, from race one, outperform, out-qualify and out-drive a four-time world champion is not easy to do. "That speaks for itself. He's been really unlucky in quite a few races this year, it could easily have been the third win [on Sunday]. "So, there's a lot more greatness to come from him and I'm looking forward to seeing his growth and racing alongside him."
I bet that's changed. As far as I'm concerned Le Clerc's move has been sanctioned many times by the FIA, most notably in CLC's case, at Austria this year. Also, when wheel-to-wheel with Rosberg, it was Hamilton's go to defence.
Wow you are right. Social media is a no go at the moment. Hamelots seemed particularly hurt by this race.
It's social media... It's just mostly angry people shouting in to the ether about stuff they know naught about, nor can change What are they so angry about?
When someone first called it "social media", I bet they never realised how ironic that name would become.
