    Sorry you have taken it that way. My geography is so bad I genuinely have no idea. I know London (Cos Barnet Fair?!) but that's it. My considered view is that it is another good piece of business for SFC. It is nice to see Bale, Dyer (??), Chamberlain, and others in the Prem, but I am equally pleased to see ex-Saints playing around the leagues. The academy takes kids and helps a lot of them become pros. It's good for us and good for them.

    Perhaps that's what he was missing at St. Mary's...a sloped pitch. Wonder if he's more of an uphill or downhill player?

    Million miles from breaking into our 1st eleven, good luck to him. Gary Monk similarly discarded and ended up at lower league Swansea, he did okay.

    Now if I knew where Endfield and Watford are ...................(no, I have an idea about the last one, but Endfield (sp?)). I used to live in South London when I first left Soton. North London was a different country. From up here everything south of Stoke is foreign.

    Watford is in hertfordshire, just north of london

    If you live on the Island (you notice the term 'the Island' as if there are no others in the world) your world constricts even more. I would have to have a very good reason to go the ten miles from Newport to Ryde and many people in Shanklin and Ventnor come to Newport only once a year.

    Apparently Saints turned down the loan but then let Saville leave the club. Jack tweeted that he parted on good terms. Strange one.

    I think it was more a case of letting him go early, he would have been released in the summer anyway

    Saw Pompey at Barnet in the FA cup once. The turnstile was a gate and the terrace had no crash barriers. It was a mass bundle/stampede when we scored...

    And also the four times more, after that.
