I have lots of really good memories of Jamie Mackie
When he started with us 2010, he was so good just a scoring machine, got a Scotland call up too...and then in a stupid 3rd round cup tie against Blackburn Rovers he got a double break of his leg, taking out for a year. He was never the same.

But he scored twice a year later versus Blackburn (that will show them), and then started that wonderful come back against Liverpool, and of course the second goal against City in that match

When he came back, the second time, he was injury prone...but still he was a great motivator. Clapping us all the time
He went to Forest and then to Oxford.... where he did that wonderful video at the start of lockdown

    Love you Jamie...and thank you

How we could do with a Jamie Mackie in the squad next season, had real passion and heart for the club.

Most memorable was the opener against City on that final day of the season and of course Liverpool.

Thank you Jamie for the memories and of course Mackie Wonderland.

You would never talk about his talent in the same vein as a Bowles or Tarrabt; but equally you wouldn't talk about their work rate compared to his.
He was always passionate and fans love a player who gives it everything; and will often forgive an error or two just for that.
He always wore his heart on his sleeve and I’m sure there will always be a bit of blue and white running through his blood.
Personally, he was a player I always enjoyed having in and around the team. Gave us more than many players who have strolled languidly through our doors.
Thanks Jamie for all you did and I hope you have a very successful post football career in whatever you choose to do <applause> <applause> <applause>

The player the Forever R’s Club was designed for.

    I reckon he’d mate a fantastic motivational coach/manager.

Five iconic goals that are enshrined in QPR history.
When he signed from Plymouth I'm ashamed to report that I was not impressed (mainly because I'd never heard of him - shallow, I know). How wrong was I?!
A proper grinder who always, always but always gave all his energy and determination to every tackle, chase and kick.
Wish you long life and happiness. QPR legend!

That flying header against Citeh enshrined him in QPR folklore. All the best Sir.

Enjoy your retirement Jamie. Not the most skilful but you made up for that in application, never giving up and managing to encourage others. Played for the shirt and for that I respect you.
Best of luck in your next career

Think he was one of the few players that genuinely wanted to give his best for the club, week after week, regardless of his ability.
He was what we would call, a very good club man. Thanks James Mackie for your memories and service.
As others have said, if only there were more with his attitude.

Not the most skillful player but made up for it in commitment and passion. Scored a few crucial goals for us but also ran his socks off so others could shine.
Never forget the goal against the fakes in 2017. Where their fans showed no respect for the short time he was there (even when he did well for them). That slated him pre-match and during the match only for him to score in front of them... and do this. Well done son you are a QPR legend.
