I was not talking about his playing ability, more his attitude, personality, self importance...the list goes on.
Tbf I thought he was a huge plus for us while here .. but like a lot of them he could see the writing on the wall before he left .. Will always be remembered well for his time here despite his lengthy injury
He always gave his all for us, I don’t think there was anything at all wrong with his attitude. In fact, if I was the manager of a team in the relegation zone, he’d be high up my list of players to bring in.
I think Snodgrass was one of the first City players to donate to a young City supporter’s (I forget her name) appeal, spurring other players to follow suit. A sizeable amount too. I like that kind of “**** “self-important” attitude”
No excellent player. I watched him at ferriby getting in his first game after long term injury and his touch and awareness was outstanding.
West Brom have signed goalkeeper Andy Lonergan on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Lonergan, 37, has made more than 400 appearances for clubs including Preston, Leeds, Bolton and Fulham. He was released by Liverpool at the end of the 2019-20 season, and signed a short-term contract with Stoke in December, playing in their Carabao Cup defeat by Tottenham. He will provide back-up to Baggies stopper Sam Johnstone. Lonergan is available to play in Saturday's FA Cup tie against Blackpool.
Despite having the heavy taint of white ****e all over him I really rated him - great work ethic and a player of real quality; same as SirCB, I remember him plugging the young supporters appeal. Should we see him again he'd get polite applause before the 'good natured' abuse.
Ravel Morrison has had his contract with ADO Den Haag terminated by mutual consent after playing just five matches for the club. The Dutch team signed the the midfielder in September 2020 after he had been released by Sheffield United after just one season, but Morrison's time in Holland has now been cut short too, after less than five months.
He was down quite often watching the younger players in an evening also. He and David Meyler were very regular attenders of U23's games.
