I know the circumstances were different, but Jake wasn't.

Also, we've linked with 18 year old (and what a great name this is) Festus Arthur at Stockport County. Centre half, played a big part in their surge for the playoffs.

He er... he doesn't look 18...

Are you saying King Arthur's full name was Arthur Arthur?

No one with such a silly name could spawn a top-class footballer.

    How about Neil Mann's dad?

The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

Can't have too many centre halfs.

I haven't forgotten about it, but none of us know exactly what went on and I'm not going to start slagging him off without knowing the circumstances. We cocked up triggering the extension, we move on, it's not the end of the world.

Jake was worth £10m, we protected our investment, Marcus is currently just a liability.

Not a case of slagging him off .. it's a case of what McCann said in an interview when asked ... yes the Allams cocked up cos of their greed .. but if McCann wanted him in the squad he'd be there .. simples. I distinctly recall him getting irked everytime the guys name was brought up .. so much so that banned questions about him for a while.

That's still an assumption, he might just as easily have been told by the Allams when he arrived, Marcus is off, so replace him and forget all about him. Marcus was certainly fit and keen to play when the season started and he's a better player than several of those who played ahead of him, so it was a **** move. We can speculate all we like, it's completely academic, he's gone and we'll probably never know exactly what went on.

I’m absolutely positive McCann had said Marcus didn’t want to feature in a pre season friendly as his head wasn’t in the right place.

Is he actually any better in the formation McCann plays than those that have played this season? I think people are making Marcus out to be better than he actually is.

I didn’t rate him particularly, he flattered to deceive, more often than not he was a bit of a soft fanny. I’m not actually convinced he would get in the side in the formation McCann wants to play. People will obviously disagree, but Henriksen for me is one of the biggest disappointments we’ve signed in a long time. His report would read abject and could try harder.

He did say that, but you don't write off one of your best paid players and former captain, simply because he didn't fancy a pre-season friendly when he thought he was off anyway, there's obviously more to it.

Henriksen was good for us last season and anyone who doesn't think he's in a different class to Honeyman, obviously hasn't been paying attention (personally, I'd have played him ahead of Honeyman, Irvine, or Batty).

Honeyman barely gets a start either! Henriksen is no better than Irvine or Batty when it comes to mobility. Which is a trait of a McCann team, he wants them to get around the pitch.

Honeyman's made 24 league appearances for us this season, 10 of them league starts, that's plenty.

Less than half. How many of those has he played the full match?

    Dunno mate, Google it.

As far as I'm concerned, there's at least 24 games so far this season, where Henriksen would have been a better option than the player we played.

Henriksen might have been a bit better in his last season (personally, I didn't think he was that good), but for 2 seasons he was very average (I'm being kind). if we'd judged him on his first 10 appearances as most people are judging Honeyman, he would have left long ago.
In Honeyman;'s last 2 starts he scored at QPR and made the winner at Hillsborough.
