Ok it’s a load of sh*t
Watching Southampton V Hudds and have to say Che Adams aint all that..... hope we've moved our sights elsewhere
Wouldn't mind Reach from Sheff Wed
85 minutes of a crap Southampton match with a half empty stadium and a useless Che Adams who I haven't seen in the 2nd half. Guessing Southampton will be letting him go now after that performance hope we are are looking elsewhere
Luke Freeman back in the frame. Remember Bielsa fancied him last season whilst at QPR but the Blunts signed him for the Prem but not getting game time. Midfield and winger so possibility on loan
Given that we have Casilla, Meslier, Miazek, Huffer & Skerry, who are all up to scratch, do we really need another?
Or .... Dah-Dah-Daaaah! .... Do we perhaps have an issue with one of them? Conspiracy theorist here is wondering if Huffer has broken down gain. Or if Miazek has gone off the boil. Or if Casilla is facing a January exit.
Or FFS, perhaps he's just a good 'keeper we want to sign to keep our options open?
We are obviously going to offload someone and we still have Harrison Male too mate. Miazek was only given a year extension so not sure if this is the norm or are offloading. Meslier is our in the Summer for £4m, Huffer still coming back from long term injury, will we move him or Miazek?
This Italian kid is for our u23 squad obviously having a bloated development team is more important than finding players for the 1st team to get us promoted
What a very bitter and uninformed view.
Is he wrong though?
Looks like Tosun is going to be loaned out by Everton but Palace and Villa are in for him so unlikely we get him.
He's most certainly making HUGE assumptions. At best.
No it's not he knew the "Italian kid" is actually Scottish
Brewster to Swansea but how do they guarantee game time for him without getting rid of a player or two? Perhaps Ayew could be on his way, their top scorer with 9 this season and has played for Bielsa before? Could we risk trying to do business with Swansea?
I guess, and I certainly don't want to speak for him, he's stating that this isn't a signing for the here and now to help us get promoted. And no point in it being a Bielsa signing for the future as we're all agreed he won't be here if we fail again this time (sorry, did speak for him).
Frustrating we haven't signed anyone yet...especially as two have left.
However only 2 games to play in January so totally confident we have enough to handle those.
But...and here is the but;
We then have 7 fixtures in February...a tough tough month, which will go a long way to deciding our destiny.
We're top of the League.
We don't need to bet the farm...just Kalvin's future transfer fee (if we fall short) should be enough.
Reminder two is a very good point. I hadn't thought of that and you are right use his future transfer fee now (conservative estimate) to get us promoted by buying a couple of players and then use the extra premiership funds to plug the financial gap as we wont need to sell him.
You would think Mr Radrizani would be able deliver the necessary finance, perhaps not directly himself but through his wealthy contacts if needed.
Actually now i think about it, Radz was getting his arse sued form the guys that bought his company (MP & Silva). The company went tits up fairly shortly after, contracts were either unfullfilled or terminated and it all had a rather unsavoury taste given the massive price Radz and his partner had sold it for.
No idea if that's been resolved, so just thinking out loud.
Then of course his ElevenSports investments haven't exactly gone to plan...no wonder he's been very quiet lately.
Probably best to just hide behind the FFP rules and hope no-one notices.
Unlikely anyone will remember that in the last 3 years (accounting period for FFP) we sold...Chris Wood, Charlie Taylor, Ronaldo Vieira, Bradley Peacock-Farrell, Kemar Roofe all for massive transfer fees.
I think those sales will be in the books and balanced by the purchases and costs etc. But doing some short term buying/investment now with the "almost certain" return on investment either by gaining promotion or selling assets that don't want to hang around any longer should we fail, seems sensible. It's not without some risk, but then so is crossing the road.
