Tom Lees? Is he the RB? Another Leeds Boy isn't he? If it's a RB we are going for, I'd rather go to our Feeder club for Sam Byram.

Aldi has some good stuff, it's just got a foreign label on it and cheaper. Maybe a good idea for our transfer policy!

    Bah!

I bet you've never even seen him play.

I haven't either so I'm going to reserve judgement. But as per usual, you immediately assume the worst.

You've got a point KIO and I would rather we were being linked with players of a higher calibre.
IMO, we have to 'speculate to accumulate' and what's the point of being the team in the Championship with the healthiest bank balance when we could spend a few £M and maybe even stay in the PL???

Well we are in the bottom half of the premier league battling for survival so we're not exactly going to be attracting Europe's top players are we?

I thought Lees was really highly rated CB? I could be making a mistake and thinking of someone else. Don't know about RB. Didn't Wednesday pay quite big money for him so I imagine that might set us back a pretty penny?

£1.2m according to Switchdrachma. On a four year contract though at a club doing well and with no need to sell, so won't be cheap.

I thought he was quite highly rated at Leeds, playing both RB and CB. But whilst he might be doing well in the championship, in January we're going to need players able to come into the first team and make an immediate impact. I'm not sure Lees is that type of signing. I guess he'd stick around if we got relegated though, and his wages wouldn't break the bank in the championship.

As part of a wider plan I'd be happy to see him join, so long as it was obvious we'd spent decent money on someone who will immediately add to the team. I think the key thing will be if we're in the relegation zone or not. Even if we're hovering above it, it'll be much easier to convince players we'll stay up and give them more time in the Prem.

Grabban would be a good fit for Leeds. A dirty, unorganized club in the Championship. Would suit him down to the ground.

I thought tom lees was supposedly a pretty decent, going-places CD? - didn't realise he'd left Leeds to be honest as thought he was one of the first names on the team sheet, although they have so many problems i'm surprised more haven't jumped ship given the opportunity. If he can do a job at RB, all the better. This is the sort of player i think we should be targeting - strong champ performers who haven't had a crack the Prem, and still have the hunger.

I'm intrigued KIO, who is on your defensive wishlist?

As for grabban - if we are loaning him he needs to go to a team where he'll play and get a few goals so that we actually get more than £12.50 for him come January. Leeds under evans could be that team - not sure i understand the fans moaning about him playing the NCFC minutes - particularly in league cup etc - given the buyer knows he is desperate to get out, and not really in the first team, if we want anything for him in January then we have to be clever - we have to at least make it appear that he isn't entirely surplus to requirements...otherwise we have blown 6million...

Think we'll be lucky to get half that now...

Some very valid points raised about Grabbangate, gruffnuts <ok>
I suggested twitter when I saw the report that our Lewis "enjoys a night out whenever he's in Rotherham, so it would make sense as Leeds is fairly close"!

£7m being quoted for Lees, with Sunderland and Newcastle also interested... He is highly rated as a couple of us thought. Still not sure about RB

Lafferty is my one huge bugbear with AN.

Why has he not been given a chance? He has done it at international level, I know not against the strongest of teams but surely he deserves a start or a chance off the bench.

    Poor bloke.

Why didn't we sell Grabban in the summer for 5+ million? He's barely played and we'd be lucky to get 2m for him now come January.
