    I wonder what the criteria for Shelvey's replacement is? I assume they'll go like for like, so:

    - bald
    - racist
    - cemented to the centre circle
    - able to play beautiful 60 yard passes out for a throw in.

    IF we manage to get them, as well as Gordon, Ashby & Kuol - AND we offload Shelvey & Wood - then that is a cracking transfer window as far as I'm concerned.

    I tend to agree... Only one I'd like is Gallagher, and he's starting, so I really can't see him being loaned or sold (anywhere, never mind to us).

    With 2 days left anything even remotely exciting we can forget but of course the media will keep a few desperates clinging for Maddison or someone notable.

    Newcastle are done bar maybe a loan and a squad filler to stay a few months and never play.

    No we're losing Shelvey so it's not like newcastle are going to be looking at replacing a 1st team player .

    It's only what 15 weeks and they can get a player they want and could find getting them easier.

    Why buy a Ford because you didn't have the patience to wait another 15 weeks and get a ferrari.
