Wonder whether Gallagher will do a Gordon to try and force the move. Or will it just be Jorginho out - Fernandez in?
He's getting games this season at Chelsea, but I dunno how many of them are as sub. He seemed much happier and much more of a stand out player at Palace last season. Would definitely be useful here as more support for the midfield, but I don't see any more signings now tbh. With these 2, we've now spent around £160m in the summer and Jan, and there can't be much more spending than that if any.
I completely agree, it's whether we can loan now. I would imagine we're talking to a few clubs, but the incentive to strengthen us whilst getting no financial gain for four months probably doesn't appeal! I'm also fine with Chelsea trying to keep 35 senior players happy. Honestly, Fernandez was decent at the World Cup, but nobody knew him before that. Benfica have proper had Chelsea's pants down, Potter must be wondering wtf is going on, going from a club that signs the likes of Trossard and Caicedo for around £10m each to this madness.
Jurgen the **** and his imaginary ceilings... Within £4m of everyone, bar Chelsea. Boo sodding hoo - Spend your money more wisely you horse toothed gimp.
Wood and Shelvey were on about £160k p/w between them I think! I'd be amazed if we don't make a big move for a decent CM today. Franka is a good prospect and looking at the youth signings we've made they are clearly concentrating on the youth as well - nearly a full XI bought in this year alone - plus what we have come through the ranks such as Anderson! Jude Smith (GK) Harrison Ashby (RB) Charlie McArthur (CB) Alex Murphy (CB) Jordan Hackett (LB) Franka (CM)* Anderson (CM)** Garang Kuol (RW) Amadou Diallo (LW) Isaac Westendorf (CF)
This doesn’t include the Wood and Shelvey transfers which will net us 30m. 20m for Wood 10m for Shelvey
They can go again and fail again. The only "problem" is Liverpool and Chelsea struggling so bad this year they actually might try it - especially with the yank ownership they both have. Would be hillarious to see them both flop the EPL then try and run to a destined to fail ESL, both clubs will fall to pieces before the decades out!
