Technically it's impossible to have that line up BY 2023. IN 2023, maybe. But even then, if we can't improve on Almiron, Targett and Schar by this time next year then I'll be even more whiney than usual.

 

Schar and Targett are alright. Targett isn't match fit yet I don't think.

Schar is a good CB.

Burn may be the more solid defensive CB but his ability on the ball is not as good as Botman and Schar which is why he'll probably be 3rd choice.

He'll still get plenty of games though, especially considering he's a decent defensive LB.

 

You'll seldom get any 11 out and that's why the 25 is the real gauge

 

Leicester could go into liquidation and/or fail to pay the players wages and the players could all be released on frees. Just have to be positive.

Andrey Santos. Apparently we've tabled an offer (or are about to do so) of around £30million... According to Brazilian media Globo Esporte (who broke the Bruno to NUFC story). Trying to wrap the deal up fast and well in advance of the next window as Barcelona are also interested.

 

The fact he's keen speaks volumes. I think we might get him in January, depending on where Leicester are in the league. The WC could be our chance to snap up some talent

 

This season will be a season of consolidation in the league without a huge relegation battle involved and then from next season the squad will be a bit deeper and it'll start to snowball from there .

 

Yeah, frustrating though the end of the window was (purely knowing we'd still be regularly seeing Murphy, Fraser, Wood, Longstaff) this season was never about challenging. It's about establishing an identity, a backroom team of repute, the commercial deals and getting the right players in. Point is, if we have the same Jan window, and a repeat of Summer, that's another 8 players and within that will be another Bruno, Botman and Isak.
