What does everyone think will be the situation in the Summer? Are people of the opinion that the FFP elements will have been resolved, in part or full, so that we can dip our toe back into the transfer market, or are people expecting it to be a Summer of consolidation and releasing players as we have seen of late? Holloway has been kept on as things stand. Assuming we stay up and if FFP is still ongoing, I fail to see what will be any different and to that end, would expect to see Holloway continue. Thoughts?
I’ve just read on the Beeb that Cardiff have signed Armband Traore on a free from Forest. Of course, I was already aware of the following, but... ****ing hell, when you see in print that he used to play for Arsenal and Juventus!
Can't see FFP resolved by then. Took about 3 years to get to Court and another year or so to Arbitration (which was supposed to be binding). Be lucky if done by summer 2019.
That Swansea game was terrible. Not unreasonably, many of us went expecting to see a proper (expensive) team giving it a good go. How bitterly disappointed were we?! On the flip side, how could you not mention the Liverpool win?!! And "Cisse, Cisssseeeee".
I'd guess we'll still be in a time of austerity even if the remarkable happens and FFP is resolved. Just feels like the recovery from this is going to be a long old haul. Maybe in the long run it will be slightly positive in that we might be more sensible in the Windows and not try to buy a new squad every time.
Unless one at least of our current or youth team strikers start scoring loads of goals I think we will have to take a chance and bring in a proven goal scoring striker.
I certainly hope Holloway doesn't continue UNLESS he can prove to us that he can adapt. If he continues with this 5-3-2 ****e then people will stop going, as is happening now. Regarding the financial situation well who bloody knows. Tony only tweeted about adding 1 or 2 a few weeks ago so our hands can't be totally tied. BUT if they are then I am really concerned as we won't be able to keep our better players if we are not winning/progressing or showing ambition to. Can the youth come in and do a job? Maybe one or two to a good standard imo. If we do unearth a gem then we could end up with a Sterling type situation and be quids in to help the finances but some must be reinvested. We generally have been a selling club over the past few decades but also spent wisely on replacements knowing that you're never going to get 4/5 good youth players all coming through together. It will be a long road, probably slippery with its ups and downs depending on the owners ambitions for our club.
Unless Im mistaken we can buy players/loan players in at the mo?!!!!!........so I cant understand why he hasnt freshened it up. Hes got rid of a few so could have got some "right sort" in ..........................t
My good mate is a qpr fan, He said to me yesterday, the football world call it transfer deadline day, We qpr fans call it January 31st
See Goss scored for Rangers, hopefully he'll come back a better/confident player in the summer after getting some game time playing for them.
Niko Muir scored a hat trick for Hendon yesterday, with our less then prolific front line I’m still baffled as to why we didn’t take a punt on him, hardly would have broken the bank! We could end up really regretting not signing him when we had the chance
Interesting window analysis. The Smithies situation is a tough one, much as we all love him; Ingram really is our future no.1. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/...transfer-window/amp?__twitter_impression=true
