The worst thing that could happen in the long term is for us to get results under Pearce.
We all know what happened under Jackson.

Do you really think Bowyer would return with the squad we have.

And he’ll cost too much. The next manager will be cheap.

To match the squad - other than the most expensive lame duck of a striker of course :emoticon-0148-yes:

Good managers won't touch us with a barge pole. Someone will take the gig, they always do

What will the spin be when Lee Johnson gets the gig?

He won the Checkatrade Trophy with Sunderland? <doh>

The only Club where he actually had a decent win ratio - 51% of 78 games in only 13 months.
How many games do you have to play to win the Checkatrade?

Johnson has never had a win ratio as high as 40% at any of his other Clubs.
And I should think his league game win rate at Sunderland was lower than 40%.
You have to win over 40% of your games in a season even to make the play-offs.

Scott is getting paid handsomely for a little return in squad progress.
Methven will tell us all we need to know if Johnson gets the gig.
I personally think Pearce will get a second game if we put in a good performance on Saturday.
They will bring in a yes man.

I have been reliably informed that Chris Powell was offered the job (by Scott not Methane) 2 days before Holden was sacked.
He turned it down straight away.

Reported Darren Ferguson's turned it down too. Lee Johnson won't turn it down.

A couple of posters including RE on CL are saying we've gone back in for Sir Chris on a permanent basis. I hope he turns it down again, he'd beset up to fail this time.

Seems that there are denials now circulating about SCP being approached a second time.

Interesting, that many fans are being lured into playing 'guess the Gaffer' when there are only 52 hours left in the transfer window.
