He is a one off. Very pleased to hear this news.

 

Then in 8 weeks time, he'll retire with immediate effect.

 

Good news indeed just need to change the four dumbos who make up the rest of the panel

Wouldn't disagree Smug, the four replacements are probably worse than their predecessors, however Jeff guided the programme really well, and Hartlepool will disappear from view now they're non league and lost Jeff's antics when they're score came up.

 

Think it could be the opportunity for a complete shake up in terms of format and personnel. Current format won't work without Stelling and the pundits are weak and lacking personality

He's probably a decent choice, there can't be a big pool of people who could do the job but I think he'd be alright.

Might not be a bad idea to do a full refresh of the pundits at the same time, most of them are either ****e at their job (Merson) or annoying (everyone else).
