This players shooting is atrocious, but he played well yesterday and has done for a while.

I do feel he should be on the left though.

I fear we will see gayle again soon

    Your thoughts?

He was probably our best players yesterday.

We were in the game until he went off injured vs man united too..

I feel people are just after him now or the can't actually read a game.. Its one of the two or both.

Ok he's no world beater but he offers more than gayle... I'd drop Fraser and play Joelinton and Murphy tbh or Anderson

Although he has improved. And is a best attacking threat that says it all about the quality. He was bought to score goals and create goals. That’s his job.

    Is he doing that?
Or you could say he doesn’t have the quality around him. But the stats don’t lie.

How many have as more assists and goals? The thing is he's our best option right now and he's causing the other team problems.

Literally any threat we had yesterday came from him and willock

    He's not a striker

    Im
Talking specifically about him. His stats don’t lie. His hold up play is ok. He’s playing better than he was. But he can’t shoot for toffee. He can’t cross either. His passing is average at best.

40 million we paid for him and I don’t see the return yet. He’s also wearing the no9 shirt. Why?

I think he's quite good at passing actually... He likes to play on the floor.

The point is who can offer better right now?

Is he playing better than Fraser? Absolutely

Gayle? Playing wide? No thanks .

Who would you play? Murphy? Anderson?

I'd drop Fraser for one of them personally,, but this idea of going 4 4 2 with gayle, Carroll Fraser and Murphy no thanks...

The thing with joelinton is, he’s so bad, you’re pleased if he does something half decent. His hold up play is canny, but creates nothing and spends a lot of time on the ground after being knocked over by a light breeze.

Don’t get me wrong. Joelinton has to stay in the team if we continue with this style of play. I would play him on the left and play Murphy on the right.

Specifically re joe he is not a cf. he’s not any type of main focus. He’s an attacking winger. He’s not an AMC either as he doesn’t find pockets and he isn’t that creative.

Me too I'd rather play Anderson than any of them tbh.. I've only seen him once but he can keep the ball.

He did some very skillful things yesterday tbh mate. He should've been provided a tap in and provided one and if those two passes were completed Everyone would have said he was outstanding. For me the fact they didn't doesn't take away all the other good things he did... I think he's just suffering with a confidence issue and he snaps at his shots... He's not a striker though he just isn't.

He's the polar opposite of Maximin... Maximin offers very little end product too btw

He has the same assists/goals (total 3) as Jeff Hendrick, who you have said is a complete waste of space. Hendrick cost us nothing, Joelinton 40million. The only reason Joelinton is the right option at the moment is because we don't have any others.

Exactly but Hendrick isn't an attacking player and max, almiron and Wilson are injured.

Like I say who's a better option to play wide right on the system that seem a huge improvement since Everton away?

Or do people seriously think 4 4 2 was working prior? If so I'm confused because they were all going bite about 4 4 2 and how **** Carroll is

    Another question

How many times had Joelinton played in an attack with max almiron and Wilson?

I'd play the the lot of them... Im sure they'd all benefit from that..

Yes but he gets away with it because he takes on 7 players then loses the ball.

I said that earlier last week. We have not had ASM for weeks at a time this season and done ok without him. I don’t actually think ASM has done that much this season to warrant his superstar status.

The problem is they all appear to play best coming in from the left.

I just feel like the biggest issue is in attack and if you look at Bruce's selections from day 1 we've never played enough fwds... 2 at the most..

    Every fan knows we've got the sqaud for a 4 2 3 1.

Almiron and Wilson or Joelinton and Wilson was the only two attacking players Bruce picked even when all were fit and available and now he's crying about injuries to 3 of them.

If I'm Joelinton I need options in the final 3rd..
