Agent fee for Ghilas move was 500K. What the F##K. I would not sign a player on principal. So in theory what was Angy Carrolls agent paid. It must be millions or did football agents see Duffen coming. Actually yes they did.

Thats what happens when you put irresponsible people in charge of a football club. Compare this with signing Cameron Stewart for 300k. The clubs going forward on a secure footing now.

I don't see why football needs agents! Why can't a club talk to a player directly? It would be a lot easier and cheaper for both parties surely?

Apparently Gary Neville never had a football agent. To understand more just Google Paul Duffen football agents. duffen always denied wrong doings yet settled out of court.

Believe me If I had done nothing wrong no one would get a bean from me.

Agents are just pointless. Why as a player would you need someone to try and negotiate for you? Surely players are fully capable of saying "Yes I'd like to play for you" or "No I don't want to move clubs" ?

I'm only joking with you just think it's funny that you would suggest a player who has been at one club his entire career, just short of 20 years would be daft enough to employ someone to take care of his interests when essentially he would probably never leave Manchester United so why would he need an Agent?

They need agents to look after their business interests, like endorsements and so on.

agents deal with new deals etc, not sure neville is a massive money person but most players have them to get a better deal each time, agent takes a fee but they get a better salary.

Fair enough. Agents are usually there to blackmail a club for more cash(for client and agent). IE Rooney. Shags around, has crap world cup plays as though he has lead in his boots and ends up with a better contract( obviously his and Nevilles affiliation to the club are opposite poles).

I'd imagine most players at clubs like Man U have somebody looking after them, they might not call them agents but thats what they are in actuality.

Other than Willie McKay, which agents were used during the Brown/Duffen era? Does anyone have a list?

Neville Neville acts as Gary Nevilles agent. Neville Neville is his dad. I think Gary Nevilles grandad must have filled Neville Nevilles birth certificate in wrong!
