Some fascinating results from EDP readers so far in this questionnaire. A few surprises, (norra lorra love for Bassong, Turner or Whittaker!!) but cast your votes and see how you compare. Anyone who thinks football fans are all on the same page of the hymn-sheet needs to have a look at this! Technically belongs on the 'rumours' page but can always merge later. Just wanted to highlight it. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/..._for_the_rest_of_the_2016_17_season_1_4835416
I want to find the 6 muppets who think we should sell Basil - are they stupid or what??????? Other than that, I think the only surprise was how many wanted Martin to stay!!!!
I hate polls like this, clearly there are players that we need to get rid of or loan out that are not troubling the bench, let allone the starting XI. But what of squad players? Do I want rid of Russ? From the starting XI for a better replacement, yes, but from the squad? No he covers more than one position and is good backup. For a better backup and starter, show me the way to the sell button! I'd want rid of Ruddy and/or McGovern - We despirately need a new No.1 who actually wins us the odd game, neither of these should be our first choice, either is OK as backup or a recalled Declan and Jones fine as 3rd choice. We still need a second quality CB, but until someone comes in who's better, Martin and Bennett should stay. Bass can go, and if we were to get promoted then only Klose should be kept, as realistic as that is! Olsson should stay and who are the 4 clowns who think Pinto should go!?! One of few who may compete in the PL. I'd sell Toffolo as I don't think he'll make the grade, but in selling Whittaker we need some cover. Brady, Dorrens, Tettey and Mulumbu could all be sold though not all at once, and certainly not without some replacements. With respect to Brady, I would really love to see us keep a committed and firing Brady. but as the former seems unlikely the later is too, so we may as well selland find someone who will. Long term and with a view to any future PL side we may field it would seem like a backward step. I'd send Canos, Josh, Morris, McGraddles and possibly pritchard on loan dependant on other departures If a replacement was forthcoming I'd like i said loan out Morris, but I'd sell Lafferty and Jerome. So that would leave. New keeper, 1 of Ruddy/Rudd/McGovern, Jones Pinto, Martin New CB, Martin/Turner Klose, Bennett/Godfrey Olsson, New backup or starter Jacob, Jarvis Thompson, Tettey/Mulumbu Howson, Naismith/Hoolihan Maddison, Naismith/Hoolihan Jarvis, Naismith/Hoolihan Oliveira, Newby/Jerome Though with our inflated wages I imagine that we well sell very few and buy fewer still, with them mostly not appearing in the starting XI. Bah!
You never know with Wes, with Lambo at at Wolves an attempt to pinch him on the cheap could be forthcoming? Little benefit to us in selling or loaning him though so unless there is an interest and he spits the dummy doun=bt he'll go anywhere. Bah!
[QUOTE="General Melchett, post: 10072836, member: 1018642" Ruddy and/or McGovern - We despirately need a new No.1 who actually wins us the odd game, Bah![/QUOTE] Melchy - one can argue with good reason that Ruddy did indeed win us the game yesterday. His save from Ince when one on one kept us in the lead and we then kicked on (or rather Buttercup did) to win the game in convincing style. Had Ince scored then who knows what result might have ensued ?

Bah!
Can't argue with you on that one Melchy, but hopefully his performance yesterday will give him confidence - something I think he has lacked in recent times (since his bad injury I'd wager).
You'd like to think that a) a resounding win against a 'form' side, b) a(nother) clean sheet, two in three days, and c) the deserved accolades shown by both fans in the stadium and media in the aftermath would have filtered through the entire squad and given all of them a massive confidence boost And it's 'only' Rotherham away next
The trouble is its not just recent times he's been below standard for 4 odd seasons since that injury. Bah!
I'm not sure it's really that fair to judge any of our keepers until they have a decent CB pairing in front of them. I think most Championship / lower PL keepers would be nervous wrecks playing behind our defense.
