"Kelvin Davis promotion to cone monitor to save Saints season" Meh, nice job for a nice fella but hardly going to make a difference in the big scheme of things
And there was a time well over 50% of the fans were demanding Bartosz Bialkowski be given the number 1 shirt.... I think it was George Burley who had to repeatedly answer Qs on it in a fans forum
Ridiculous decision.....used to appease the disgruntled fans, along with the long list of players we are now linked with. Our PR department working overtime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You know first hand of his coaching ability? You don’t think that at a time when everyone knows that the dressing room is disgruntled, that putting a popular figure into it could help? It’s ridiculous to dismiss it without considering the benefits or waiting to see if it works. I can agree with your view that is could be partly the PR department, but let’s not dismiss it out of hand. Sent from my galactic communicator using The Force
There are 2 possibilities: the club have an interest in his development and think this is an opportunity for him or this is a convenient appointment because MP2 may be on his last legs this season and they don't want to bring in a coach at this point. SKD's popularity is a bonus, but can't see this as a PR exercise.
Is that to follow his CP & MP strokes Sorry, couldn’t resist that. I like the sentiment but not too sure if it has any real umph
I’m not sure it does either. However being a person with a positive mindset, I immediately saw a potential benefit. Only time will tell. Some see the positive. Some see the negative. I bet I’m feeling in a better mood than those others though
I don't know how any of us can have an opinion on SKD as a coach. He must have taken his badges and every coach has a first job.
It’s definitely partly to do with MP2 being on the brink. Two, Three even four more defeats on the spin and his position becomes untenable
I take this as a big positive. The players appear to me to be on their knees morale and confidence wise with a lot of rumours about individuals wanting out of the club so having a real good "Club" man as the number two who can inject positivity and belief in the club can only be good I sound like a Happy Clapper....I'll go away and sort myself out before the game
Do we actually know that he is popular. He obviously would have been at one time but all that lot have long gone. Popular with the fans though if that’s what you meant.
Very good point . Of course he is still popular with the fans , but the current Squad ? You would hope he is , else why make the appointment , but good point !
