Ho Hull chaps. How's life in the Championship? Hope to see you back soon enough.

Anyway, I've been playing around with kodi the past few days and have to say, I am impressed. I've come here as I've seen you have talked about it here and another forum (that's formatted terrible BTW) so hope you know a few tricks.

So far I have over 400 working premium channels as i have checked. This is on live TV tab not a prog like ivue. o paid a months sub to iks66. Have to say, I am impressed. Altogether it lists 1780 channels. Many are porn and foreign mind.

Anyway, I've got most the top apps that are readily known about. o was hoping you guys knew a few bits a self fought chap like myself might not find on google. Or a few tips and tricks, best repos etc. I've got loads and set it up nicely for my own needs (its replaced sky)..

Its not HD though bhe devs of iks66 say its coming, saw a few test HD channels pop up. Maybe there's a trick you know.

All on all O just want dome help and advice, to get even more out of of. I've got a pretty good start and figured so much out that its already competing with sky for usability and offers everything Netflix offers for me, bit is there even more.

Anything you think Mick may not like, just pm me. I'm not asking for free gifts or anything like that, just what you know and whether it's new to myself.

Using kodi on PC through TV, husham build installed by husham wizard with iks66 sub on charlie port, added a few extras myself too on top of hushams build.

I have to say that's a great looking build from the images. I am however reluctant to clear all my files as I have got my live TV with all the lreniun channels working and pay a sub for it. It was a pain to configure and get working so don't want to go through it again.

Could I install it alongside hushams build? That would be useful. I noticed that was also for the firestick, and I am using windows for now (considering one mind).

    Thanks though.

I'm currently using a wonderful 4mb connection and I had no issues at all. The quality wasn't HD on the live TV tab bit it was definitely equal to SD channels (they were SD channels, the HD option isn't done yet though appears they are testing).

I had no isseus switching between the are, chav and Bayern games. The only channel that hasn't worked is fox sports 1. Seems to be down but the rest are. Hence my reluctance to do a fresh install.

I have Kodi with assorted channels set onto my laptop - I put a clean version of kodi on my tablet and installed The Beast on it, it loads/runs/plays superb, I don't bother with anything else, it's that good and it really has it all.

Whats the built in live TV like. What channels do you get. Sonfar I have 400 paid channels sky, dish and other networks offer that work, skyone, all the sports channels, all the movies and entertainment channels etc.

How does it compare as that will be the one I am using. I am going to buy a fire stick so may just stick beast in that and if need be, configure my gift to work on it.

Seen a few people selling the on Facebook buy and sell pages round here. Some seem to be making a kikkung as they cost 35 and the sell for 60+. Selling a couple a day even is still decent on top of a normal wage. Definitely the next big thing . skybox f5 and the like are soon to be dead anyway.

I usually mirror my tablet to my telly, while it's not 1080 quality, imagine watching a match on a really good stream.

I had the united Sunderland game on using nbcsn in 720p stream with my shire connection without a hiccup. It wasn't exactly 720 quality but it was damn good and unless you are a bit of a pixel free, you really wouldn't care.

I've had some brilliant acestream and sopcast footie links before which have been near full HD running fibre in an old house and you can link acestream and sopcast with kodi so if you know the right source, you can get some brilliant quality.

Remember, even sky HD isn't full HD, its 1080i so a bit worse than 1080p. Kodi are working on HD as well as 4k. My build has the 4k app and all seems to work except I don't have a 4k TV to truly test its potential

I've only had the new build on my tablet for about three weeks - as far as I can see, it's ****in' endless, any sport, new films, old films, new tv, tv box-sets back to the year dot ........... you should try it on a stick.

I'd say the quality once you have good add ons is better than the official broadcasters can offer. BT player is awful as is sky go. The only decent one is iPlayer and even that's poor at times. Quality is definitely below sky HD bit for me I am saving over £70 a month. That's a hell of a saving over a year compared to sky and I get more choice.

£97 a month the bastards were charging. Madness.

Anyone with decent internet paying for TV channels is barmy - it's all out there waiting to be streamed, legally, and for free.

I made the mistake of signing io for last seasons games. My Sub ended on Saturday morning so no exit fee. Just kept the net and have got that free due to drop on speed. So 16.40 a month plus a small fee for a VPN and a kodi IPTV sub. About 27quid a month for it all.

    Sky's customers are barmy indeed.

Some apps have HD at different times. The old NBC app was excellent every game in (just about) 720p and some of the big ones in 1080p. Sadly that's dead now.

I have a few I use for football, not used it since last season but off the top of my head Vdub and Pheonix and between them they usually had a high quality SD stream for all our matches (just like watching on a normal telly channel) which were seamless every time.

I've not bothered to use it for TV yet as I bartered sky down to a cracking price which all in (excluding sport) isn't much more than I'd be paying to use Kodi (more expensive line rental and broadband without the tv package + a decent and reliable VPN on top) and Sky is a lot easier for the little one to switch on and use.

Don't suppose you've seen any streaming ability anywhere? Only have an old PS3 to stream to my telly with, I've been using the DivX media server the rare times ive used it but there's two series I missed a bit of and want to catch up.

Cancelled Sky Sports and as soon as I do the the bastards get the Open next year, trouble with streaming for me is my crappy Karoo broadband which runs OK for 4 hours then slows down to snails pace which means golf is out as is watching any more than one footy match in a day
