And we want him to stay here for a long time.

Great keeper and a nice guy by the sound of it.

Scary to think if he stayed here until retirement he'd play more games than Shay or any other player we've ever had. Has any player ever stayed with us for 20+ years?

Then again I was saying the same about Carroll... Oops.

I think we have more chance Shola still being around in another ten years.

    I know

The goalkeeper has emerged as one of the best in the business in the Premier League this season and at just 23 years of age still has plenty of time to develop.

Krul's form has seen him linked with a January move to Manchester United, where he performed heroics in November to earn Newcastle a draw.

Hmm no quotation marks so its the reporter **** stirring

    the answer is no
    our two longest serving players
    19 years - W. McCracken (1904-23)

    aye

it's funny looking back at the big debate we had at who should be our no.1 during the summer i doubt anyone would pick harper now.speaking of harper you've got to feel for the lad he must have thought that his chance had come

  18. As much as I think Krul will stay, it really means **** all when a player says "I'm staying", It's normally just a tactic to get their transfer value up.

However I reckon there's no reason for Krul to leave.

I know Harps in probably a very abitious man but I get the opinion he is just happy to be connected with his beloved Newcastle United in any way possible.

Also Harps most hope some kind of record, the lowest amount of app per time spent at the club 200ish app in nearly 19 years!!!

Not a chance will he go to Man U, De Gea's not that bad that they'd cut their losses on him (seen a stat that he'd actually made the most saves in the Premier this season) and they've got that Lindegaard too who looks handy. Spuds I could see trying to nab him, maybe Chelsea in a couple of years - but if he keeps this up there'll be a lot of interest from all around Europe.

Krul is absolutely class, can't believe some people were suggesting Forster for the number 1 before the start of the season <laugh>
