True, but he is starting to talk about the CL more and more. I wouldn't blame him for going, but obviously he will be missed big time.

 

I can understand the desire to play at a high level, but how many games will you get? Depends on your teams progress and if you are first choice. Lallana has got into England playing at Saints...I think we deserve another season from him so that we don't have too many changes in one season. However, I can see he might grab his chance (after all he could get a career finishing injury at any moment).

 

He's being asked about it more and more. What do you want him to say? "Nah mate, not interested, I've found my level"?

 

This^^^ he hasn't said anywhere that he wants to play Champions league this season, hasn't said where his ambitions lie, he believed in our 5 year plan to get to the Premier League, just because Cortese has gone and Pochettino may go, doesn't mean he will go, we have continued to move forwards through managerial and chairman changes and it wasn't so long ago that he Saud he wanted to end his career here if we will have him.

The only question mark would be if we could not turn it down in which case most fans would understand. It's similar to Surman who wanted to stay with us but was sold as it helped us at the time.

No you didn't, but how is that relevant? You said he's talking about the champions league more and more. That is explained by the fact he's being asked about it more and more, is it not?

 

And sometimes they rearrange things so that the answer is applied to a different question or include a statement by the journalist that appears to be a player's direct quote. Things can be totally misrepresented....even if unintentional.

 

PTF, Beefy answered that exactly how you answer a lot of posts, with a "did I say that?" How is it ok for you to use that, but not someone else?

Lallana was happy to have the interview. I'm sure players are given a rough idea of what they will be asked. Yes he maybe being asked about it more but that doesn't mean he has to answer.
