well in comparison to our hard working side anyways, but then our lads put in one hell of a shift.

Cabaye/Tiote put in over 2k more than that on a regular basis.

    (p.s. holystone - what a guy)

It's a shame Tiote will be missing because we would completely boss the central midfield if he was there. We'll still do alright with Cabaye and Guthrie though.

Tiote definitely out? Can still win the midfield battle if Cabaye & Guthrie are on form.

He'll most probably make his comeback against Chelsea , seems like the medical staff don't want to take any chances.

Guthrie's hasnt been mentioned until today, but he might not play. I know Gosling scored v City but I wouldnt rule out Abeid.

Would love to see Abeid. Everybody keeps going on about how great he's been whenever they've seen him play and I've not seen anything yet, can't wait.

Just going off the quotes in the thread. Pardew said Guthrie's done well but in games like this you need a certain type of player (anchorman like Tiote), Gosling is doing OK but reminds me more of Nolan, (except he is able to run). Abeid is a more defensive option if we want to control the midfield and he's supposed to be covering Tiote during the ACON.

**** me he must be pinching himself <laugh> 0 appearances for Lens' first team but he could realistically be starting against Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow. What a lad, was very impressed with him during pre season and Vs Forest. I think Pardew will go with Gosling in all honesty though.

That's true, and very admirable of him but I wouldnt want him to risk another nasty injury by playing when we have fit options (last time he was all we had).
