We've got a proper owner now who will make the right call <ok>

    In Sandgaard we trust

Lee Bowyer is at that tricky time in his relatively short career so far as a manager.
    • His honeymoon period is over (ended when we were relegated and then TS took over)
    • In the eyes of some fans he has used up some or all of the credit gained from his early success
    • He is apparently not yet experienced enough to avoid what look to fans like simple mistakes, sometimes repeatedly.
Chris Powell did not survive this tricky stage in his management career at CAFC - though of course his fate was sealed by the arrival of Roland.
Although Duchatelet (like Sandgaard) provided critically needed financial stability in the early days of his ownership, Duchatelet (unlike Sandgaard) was not interested in helping his manager, and was totally disinterested in the identity and character of Charlton Athletic - just wanting it to service Standard Liege and his European 'network'.

Bowyer is being given an opportunity that was denied to Powell. Thomas Sandgaard is a very reasonable and thoughtful owner, not making knee-jerk decisions and probably taking into account the very strange and stressful conditions in league football at the moment.
Despite our poor form and fading hopes of promotion in this horrible season. Charlton fans really do still have much to be grateful for.

    "Knee-jerk decisions".
The youth posters on the Charlton unofficial facebook group should understand the meaning of this term.

Yet fans still disect his record to try and justify a change in Manager<doh>.

@The Punter’s Pal is having fun with the apologists as we speak.

@The Penguin, the other apologist<laugh>, just needs to be patient for his £50.
