scrappy half but a competent if not spectacular performance from Leeds. Best players so far Gelhardt, Cresswell, Drameh and Jenkins. Koch doing a job, Greenwood working hard, Poeveda has magic feet just wish he could score. Huggins a bit disappointing so far, frustrated afternoon for him because hes getting the ball but stumbling slipping or running into 2 defenders. I think Newcastle have doubled up on him and he isnt dealing with it. McCarron is supposed to be LW with Huggins as LwB but because of the mass of defenders on that side Joffy is having to help out wide too. All a bit congested, but steady away

 

Looks like Shacks, Casey and McKinstry replace Berardi and Koch. Shacks going AM with Jenkins dropping back as DM. Full 90 for Greenwood and Gelhardt today for a change

 

60 minutes in still Leeds 2-1 up with Newcastle getting stuck in and disrupting our play. Drameh has been called into action 3 times in this half so far and he has shown amazing skills. Gelhardt is involved in everything

 

70 minutes and we are making heavy work of this. We give away too many free kicks at the edge of our box and we are also allowing Newcastle to run right through our middle. We are lucky to be still ahead. Caprile pulled off a great diving save to his left.

We need better final ball to kill this

 

73 minutes Gelhardt goes close again forcing the keeper into a good save and Newcastle go all the way to our end and Caprile forced into action yet again still 2-1 Leeds

 

75 mins and now Shackleton having to save us at the back. Sloppy play today from Huggins, McCarron, McKinstry and needs sorting. Caprile having to make another good save

 

78 Gelhardt creates a corner from nothing and almost wins another penalty

That was a war in the 2nd half with Cresswell, Drameh and Caprile saving the day. Man of the match by a way is Gelhardt, best player in the park. Shacks steadied the ship thank god and had a decent 45 munutes

had an hour free so watched the second half - we were **** and lucky to come away with the win! I know how to pick'em!

Drameh looked very classy in possession, no-one else stood out for me in a positive way.

Promotion looks nailed on now though - will be great to have a 23's team playing with the big boys too

 

Half time in the Stoke V Fulham match and Stoke lead by 1-0. Leeds right now are 16 points clear but if 2nd place Stoke win today we go back to 13 points clear and a plus 23 goal difference. We will only need 2 more wins to win the league and get promotion

Beradi was beaten for pace leading to the goal. Enjoyable match.

 

Yeh saw that... rather easily... there are giant sloths you would pick in a foot race against berardi

 

TBF to him he hadn't put a foot wrong up to then.

 

I only saw the second half fella, and we were poor as a team and he had little service. From what I’ve seen of joffy I like him. I know someone involved at Wigan who was gutted when we got him.

 

Yeh, I think it’s why mb decided a while ago it was cb or nothing for berardi - when he gets caught covering at full back it’s like he’s running through water... he didn’t have much pace to lose but successive injuries are never going to help! He’s done alright for us as cb cover... but now the others are all coming back from injury he has a long queue in front of him.
