If the match is still on Leeds are away to Burnley on Saturday and should give us an indication of who goes down to Crawley. So expecting a weakened team at Deepdale as I expect to see a few taking part in the FA Cup on Sunday?

Awesome performance puts Leeds Utd 0-3 up at half time. Sam Greenwood and 2 from Summerville.

stand out performances from Charlie Cresswell and his new partner for the day Jerry Mullins. Niall Huggins is fantastic at LWB and Cosy Drameh as RWB. Nohan Kenneh is dominating as DM but Crysencio Summerville is back after injuries and is a real wizard, scored 2 but could have been 4, Sam Greenwood playing as a 10 again but could have scored 2 but will settle for the 1 so far. Huggins should have scored a couple too. McKinstry and MCCarron having fair old games and Bobby Kamwa at CF again. A good all round performances lads

Scrappy second half with the pitch being the winner in stopping football. leeds Utd won by a mile 1-4 with Summerville getting his hat-trick. Man of the match performance from him but Cody Drameh was close behind him and Huggins on the other flank. Greenwood was subbed off early in the second half due to a booking and the game was a dead rubber as they scored from a corner but the pitch was now a mudbath

clear at the top of the league by 3 points before this so expect them to be at least that if not more by now.

    Burnley 1-4 Leeds Utd

Monday 18th Jan at 1pm Thorp Arch Leeds Utd V Stoke U23s

We are 6 points clear at the top and the match will be on LUTV, Leeds twitter and You Tube.

i suggest those who have doubts about some of these lads should have a look at Drameh, Casey and Cresswell plus Huggins. That is some back 4 then we should also see Summerville, Greenwood and Gelhardt too

    @Doc

Any idea where Summerville went for a few months? He looks an excellent player but has only just come back in to the team.

    Half time

    Leeds Utd 1-0 Stoke City

Roberts playing well but unlucky. Covering some yards and committed for a change.
Huggins playing RB and not exceptional today just decent
Costa and Poveda adequate but not fantastic
    Phillips doing Kalvin ok
    Cresswell playing his normal game
Llorente by far man of the match and showing Cresswell what a top CB does. Great towering header to open the scoring too as well as cutting out half a dozen attacks single handedly. Top player
Greenwood playing at 10 again and booked again so will he be replaced? He has however had 2 great strikes on goal and is unlucky not to have scored his 8th of the season.
Jenkins ok but Phillips doing his role for him
Davies is not fantastic and would replace him with Huggins

expecting subs to be used. Summerville for Costa, Kenneh for Phillips, move Greenwood to 9 if Roberts goes off?

    Final score
    Leeds Utd 1-0 Stoke City

Leeds now 8 points clear at the top.

Scrappy 2nd half d control in the main as this tie should have dead and buried. Phillips replaced by Kenneh who did a good job replacing Kalvin. Llorente replaced by Casey and Roberts also replaced with Greenwood moving up top. Sam should have scored a couple but lack of service for most of the 2nd half we allowed Stoke back in due to the many mistakes at the back, but Caprille in goal solid when needed. Jenkins had a better 2nd half and Costa did too but Poveda was unlucky in the main but again a lack of end product. Huggins only broke forward 4 times all match but when he did it was balletic and effective. Davies was poor in the main but did have a couple of important tackles and a couple of runs, but not first team for me.

So Diego Llorente was MoM for me by far and only played the one half, one goal, one shot from 35yds that skimmed the bar and 6 brilliant interceptions along with some raking passes.

    Roberts did OK
    costa did ok
Kenneh a strong performance when he cane on
    Greenwood unlucky

If Llorente can transfer that to the first team and Kalvin comes back in fit and ready then the 23's have done their job for the week (although 8 points clear is great for confidence throughout the club too).

We are down at Wolves next Monday and if we win there we will be way ahead at the too of the league. We could see more first teamers getting a run out to keep their hand in and we should see another Llorente performance. In fact we could see our new back 4 on display for the fir half of this match?

Robbie Gotts made his debut for Salford on Friday night. He scored after 20 minutes and played the full 90 in a 2-2 draw with Harrogate. Gotts played Central midfield.

Ryan Edmondson started for Northampton after his loan switch from Aberdeen. He played the central striker on his own in a 2-1 defeat to promotion hopefuls Lincoln City. Ryan was taken off in the 85th minute.

Jordan Stevens made his debut for Bradford coming off the bench in the 71st minute of a 0-0 draw.

Gotts played full 90 for Salford in a 2-1 loss to Oldham who had a kid called Alfie McCallmont playing in midfield for the full 90. Gotts played just behind the lone striker. McCallmont more of a usual CM role.

Northampton was postponed so no game for Edmondson.

Bryce Hosannah still injured at Bradford but Stevens played the last 12 minutes for them.

Not really an U23 but I notice that Blackburn have found themselves a bit of a LB in Douglas. After a slow start he has impressed recently.

Todays game against Sunderland delayed to 2pm to allow pitch to thaw.

nice to see Gelhardt start and will probably swap with Greenwood at half time. Makes me think both on the bench for Everton

Half Time Leeds Utd 1-0 Sunderland

tyler Roberts played 30 minutes at No10 before going off so looks like he will replace Rodrigo for the Everton game. Gelhardt up front created space to get 3 shots off and made the keeper work to stop all 3. He was also brought down for a penalty which Roberts took to score. Gelhardt wasnt too happy handing the ball to Roberts. Greenwood replaced Roberts at 10. Costa missed a sitter but best performers so far Cresswell Drameh, Huggins and Gelhardt. Huggins actually playing at No8 and doing great
