    I was a Cooper hater last season. Hater is too strong I just thought he was a poor man Tom Lees, but now seems obvious that he wasnt Monks favourite and we know we all loved Bartley too.

    This season he has deserved the captaincy, he obviously does the biz in training as it was the players who voted for him. Gobsmacked at the way he plays this season and agree with Marko & WJ but I am going to add this: he can ping a great long attacking ball & take defence into fast attack mode, very Stevie G. Big praise from me

    He was doing this when he was captain before, Doc, but as he was playing with either Dumb or Dumber beside him & Silvestri behind, it was (understandably) easier for people to pounce on the negatives & tar them all with the same brush. He even got a call up for Scotland then, so wee Strachan was able to sort out the wheat from the chaff. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets another call up. Hope so - we could do with it! :D
