Coast seems to be clear again. Tuned in here for a few minutes last night and was lost. Reminded me of the old days of mighty and tc posting their rubbish
Going back to your point about needing a couple of players in Jan. Assuming we did get a couple of new faces where do you think we should strengthen, apart from a goal a game striker?
For me I don’t think we need a prolific goal scorer. Strange as it may sound we could do with a carbon copy of Bamford who’s prepared to bide his time on the bench and can just slot into the system when needed. Keep Nketiah as well even better. Just my opinion of course
An established centre half as well Eric. As 64 has said many times if White picks up a knock were goosed. Cooper seems to pick up a lot of nightly injuries. We’ve had a few games where oppositions finishing let us off the hook a bit. Cardiff simply took their three chances yesterday. Can’t see Pablo handling another 25 games without a rest now and then. Having said all that I don’t expect anyone in
I see what you're saying about Bamford. He does seem to put a shift in and do more than wait around for the game to come to him and score. The only criticism I would have of him is we need to get his radar fixed. He gets into good positions but the accuracy is like 10% out of alignment. So if we do get a Bamford MkII that would be a requirement. I hope we do keep Nketiah but I suspect he isn't getting the game time he is expecting exactly for the reasons Bamford is i.e. he does more overall for the team. If Bielsa can get him to put effort into the game more generally and keep his goal scoring skills then we already have Bamford MkII
I think we'll lose Ben White in January to Chelski/similar, so we need a CB. Berardi ain't the answer and Strujic isn't quite ready, though Bielsa may sort that out in the next 2 months.
I think I would probably go along with that, with my interpretation. A tall defender to augment/replace Berardi and a number 10 player to transition into Pablos role. I'd say that would seem sensible. Now if we are running an U23 with the intention of them being promoted to the 1st Team or being sold which ones of the U23 could fill these positions, or are there none. If none then do we go for a Flint type back and a Bowen type player or who would fit into the team/system. Personally I think Eze from QPR would be good
Not convinced any u23 could step into the cauldron that would be the final stages of the season. Hope I’m wrong
I don't think you are but some U23 could play a part. So assuming we have to look externally then who?
Not a top 10 batter, not a top 10 bowler, ok as a Jack of all Master of none but beat the Ozzies once, and so British SPOTY, oh whoopy doo
Impossible to say. It will be a loan deal if any at all so that will seriously curtail numbers. Just hope any business in or out is first week in January and not last two days
When Casey was brought on in the previous game he was in the squad because Struijk was injured. Struijk was in the squad yesterday because he'd recovered from his injury and is senior to Casey.
Casey looked the more assured though. Perhaps that was just a set of circumstances and not reflective of their overall ranking.
I shall do my Andrew Neil impersonation here. Mr Eire I must press you on this as it is key, who could the Leeds supporting public expect to be recruited if you were elected to be in charge?
