They will be hoping they can keep their eleven game unbeaten run under Thomas Tuchel in tact including impressive recent wins against Everton and Liverpool. These victories leave the Blues just four points away from Manchester Utd in second place. Leeds have lost their way in recent weeks. They have lost 5 out of their last seven games. Even though they sit comfortably in 11th place; they'll be conscious that they are yet to play the bottom seven clubs apart from Newcastle. The other three fixtures are home games against Liverpool and Spurs as well as an away trip to the Etihad Stadium. Suddenly 9 points clear doesn't sound quite that secure anymore. Leeds will be boosted by the news that both Rodrigo and Kalvin Phillips returned from the London Stadium unscathed. Both should be fit to start against the Blues. Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has shaken off an ankle injury, that has kept him sidelined for three games.
I’m not expecting any points but then I should be if the first part of the season was anything to go by. I hope our players play to the conditions of the pitch, I’d take a draw. I think this weekend I’ll be watching other team scores hoping they don’t make up ground on us. A defeat would be Bielsas first three in a row with us and one win in five or 3 points from a possible 18 is pretty poor. A good job we got some early points on the board
I'd like to see the team that finished the West Ham game, start this one. I don't like Alioski at LB but I feel it takes something away from our attack when Dallas isn't in midfield. As Alio isn't signing a new contract, I'd prefer Huggins or Davis given the chance soon, not sure tomorrow would be the best game to try that though.
The question I’m asking myself with Alioski is, why would he risk a serious injury and then find himself without a contract in the summer ? That would be a very unwise situation to put yourself in. The sensible thing would be to have agreed new terms with us or have signed a pre contract with an overseas club in January. Suspect he’s already done the latter but doesn’t want it made public yet. Unless he’s hoping more clubs throw their hat in the ring once he’s out of contract.
I'm hearing it's very likely that I'll be hammering some beers down this weekend In fact I've already started
Bottle of Rioja grand reserva for me, just don't fancy a beer tonight. Strong possibility of a few cognacs to round of the night, could be lunchtime before I post tomorrow
Oooh.. just had a look and I've got one of those. Not often I drink Rioja so is it any good ? 1999 my one
