Knew Roberts would be starting, guessed Harrison dropped, Klich for Rodrigo a surprise, Struijk for Firpo a relief

 

All I can say is that Bielsa is giving him one last chance! Bielsa chose Gelhardt over him and the kid played well and showed Roberts how its done. Roberts gets off the bench last game actually does well. Either great man management from Bielsa or the worst move ever?

I really like the look of that side. We know Roberts is more miss than hit but the shape of the midfield and back four looks solid.

Roberts did well in the last game when he came on… Genuine question; did he really do THAT well? He had a couple of shots on target but still failed to score and how much was it him looking good because we were so dire? I distinctly remember we looked better when Harrison came off, I remember seeing Roberts on the ball a few times but just once would have been one more time than James. He stood out because those around him were so poor but was he really Good?

 

A few games ago I’d have thought it was crazy Dallas at RB and Struijk LB. I’m pleased Bielsa hasn’t allowed those who really let us down another chance tonight. I hope Raphinha and James have the instruction to alternate sides, James is better on the left and having Dallas at RB so two left footers….
