Love Raphinha.. but he gives the ball away in stupid positions - that was a ridiculous flick to concede possession and put us under pressure

Before today Sheff had scored one goal in open play in their last 9 games. They’ve totally disrupted play in midfield with fouls and we’ve made the usual poor passes in the final third.

Bamfords been isolated with the game passing him by, Dallas, Roberts and Llorente have been doing the hard grafting but we need a bit more quality second half

He sent Rapha away for the goal.

He went in bravely to get the ball to Harrison for his 1 v 1 and took Baldock out of the game at the same time.

Had the keeper scrambling for a shot with his wrong foot that went wide.

A lovely flick to send Rapha in behind on the left wing.

Got a few important touches in defensively.

He will give the ball away a bit as that is the nature of that position in our team but he hasn't done it as much as Rapha has today. One of Raphas flicks actually cost us the a goal.

TBH Roberts has made a couple of wrong decisions but for the large part I can't think of anyone who has played better.

 

roberts has done some good stuff today, timed his pass perfectly in the build up to the goal, generally tidy in possession

Should be outa sight in this game,but some very poor/sloppy passing letting us down, and then the sucker punch to 1-1.
Hopefully a much sounder performance in the second half.

We needed and deserved a second goal because, as we found out, 1-0 is always a dodgy lead. We had enough opportunities to get a second or third goal but didn't take them.

Bamford has been non existent again. I don't know if it's a final ball or a lack of quality from Bamford but we need to get him in to the game.

If we play like we did first half we should win the game but we can easily lose this one if we switch off.

Baldock conned the ref, reckoning to be injured, two footed tackle, straight red the ****er.

It's a tough one to lay blame on. Ayling had sprinted up the pitch because we were breaking on them. When Raphinha tried that flick and gave it away, Ayling was out of position. That meant everyone had to pull round a position which is why they had the spare man at the back stick.

The lazy loss of possession by Raphinha caused that. There was no need for the flick. It put the whole team under pressure.

Roberts does nothing for me and yes not had a bad half but too many mistakes, my opinion which is obviously different from some of you. Too many times he wants an extra touch and thats where his problem is and always will be
