Unless we have 2 new defenders in by the time Saturday comes we are beat before we start.

Lascelles guarantees a -1 goal start

I don’t think I’ve felt so much hatred towards a player as much as Lascelles.

I’m sadly off to this one. Luckily I’m not drinking. I wish I didn’t have to go.

Lascelles makes me hate NUFC, he's that disgusting to me.

We need Midfielders to control the game. The defenders are shocking but they are always under pressure because our midfield is so ****.

Ah did it I can’t be bothered anymore. Another defeat coming.

Getting a bit sick of this season now... The same thing over and over again.. Get a goal then back off.

    It's not going to end

Yep.. They even started attacking again after Watford scored.

I listen to Howe and it would appear he's blaming the players for it trying to soak it up.. Surely he can instruct them?

I think it's lacelles and shelvey.. Trying to be clever. Just get the 2nd ffs.

Howe's plumbing new depths for me, worse than Bruce. To say "well, I don't know why we did that" - Bruce would've been ****ing slaughtered for it. It's basically saying "yeah, the problem was dropping deep but they don't listen to me".

This is a comfortable defeat. I think we're on a death slide to Howe being axed.

Howes under pressure already there's no getting away from it.. It's getting worse not better. The man united game looked better without wood up front.

You're right Bruce would get torn to bits but I've come to the conclusion well before today that we've got too many crap players.

The thing I don't understand is how the new manager has managed to filter out the wrong players.

I still think we can get something at Leeds..

Howe is totally immune to criticism. Even though he’s doing worse than Bruce.

Be careful mate I’m fighting a battle with a lot of people who can’t handle the truth.

No I haven't disputed that at all.. You're off on a wobbler on other things like the new owners...

Do you want Ashley back? Will that be better? Or maybe the Venky brothers could fix everything in 15 days?

No. Let me be clear here.

I want the new owners to make some right decisions.

I want people to STOP making excuses for them.

I also want everyone to stop blaming the last three months performance on past regimes.

    We move on from Ashley.

5-3-2. A draw at Leeds is desperately needed. Assuming no replacements:

    --------------------Dubravka-------------------
    ---------Schar---_Fede---Dummett--------
    -Trippier--------------------------------Lewis-
    -------------------Joelinton---------------------
    ---------Willock-------------Almiron----------
    ----------------ASM-----------------------------
    ------------------------Wood--------------------

A decent CM or two, a decent CB or two and a better left back and keeper would give us something to fight for. Get Lascelles, Fraser, Shelvey, Longstaff, etc., gone. Be ****ing brave, be a manager of this horrible team and get these losers out. Play White, Stephenson, Anderson, Murphy, etc., ahead of them. Get them all ****ing gone, I'm sick of the ****ing sight of them. Getting to the point where if I see these wasters in the line up I'll be rooting for the ****ing opposition!!

And I want you to be grateful they saved the club and stop making radical assertions.

How do you know they've not got anything right?

    How have you determined that?

Many people here seeming to be turning on their brothers. I don’t approve. Mod me up and I’ll sort it out with my dispute resolution skills.

in the meantime, I don’t agree with you on the ‘blaming previous regime’ point GG.

Howe has one excellent signing for January and one which stinks of a misguided panic buy - other than that he has exactly the same squad which was assembled by the last regime and which was clearly taking us down long before Bruce got the push.

    with this squad comes
    • a losers mentality (because they KNOW they are not individually good enough for the Prem),
    • a lack of skill,
    • a lack of football intelligence,
    • a lack of footballing instinct,
    • a lack of tactical awareness when on the pitch,
    • a tendency to panic and freeze,
    • an in-built awareness that they are relegation fodder
    • a (possible) resistance to the disruption of better players
    • a (possible) lack of any desire to avoid the drop (gets one over on the club before their inevitable departure from the wage bill - the players are humans, and therefore can’t be trusted)
I can’t judge Howe against this. backdrop.

he can improve their fitness (and has done) but that just makes a slightly faster **** player - they seem resistant to any other improvement.

we’ve got 2 players that are worthy of a place. Unless Howe can wave a magic wand and get 9-11 immediate upgrades (by a factor of 3, not 1) then I can’t hold him responsible and I DO think responsibility for this “long road to ****dom” does lay squarely at the feet of the previous decade and a half regime.

    we’re down. we’ll be back.

    Fair....ish.

Why not do something entirely different, like I suggested above? Why persevere with Lascelles, Shelvey, Fraser, etc.? It's not like they're out of form - they were taking us down and Howe's actively allowing that.

It's also hard to see what he's trying to do. More attack? We couldnt score vs Cambridge, had one shot today, it's getting worse than it was under SB.

I sympathise with some sub standard players but both Rafa and Bruce survived with worse.

Agreed in the main…. but football ability/skill isn’t static - it could be that Howe won’t survive because these players have actually gotten worse and can’t produce got-a-win-despite-their-****eness on any regular basis now. Like a lovely boat can rot of not taken care of. (Not that our boat has been lovely since the early/mid-90s)
