I think we all expected a bit of desire. The team of Oct/Nov would of smashed it today. Same players, what the hell has happened. I know, lack of confidence, tired players etc. For me a lag of desire in one of the biggest game of your careers, not happy. Not sure with Ralph either saying, the lads left it all out there. I know he is protecting them, but we can see through that comment

 

It certainly is concerning. But as I said the other day, we have a history of good spells and bad spells. So even if we were to start next season poorly, it doesn't necessarily mean bad news come May 2022. Not that I want us to start next season poorly of course!

Gotta have a strategy for the summer now. I like Ralph, I’m not on for sacking him and I want to give him the chance to build something here, but he can be tactically stubborn / naive to say the least. I wouldn’t mind a switch up of first team coaching / tactical staff, as well as some academy changes too of course. Just as important as player recruitment for me.

Tom, if you think the ref wasn’t biased or had a good game then you are deluded.........what he let Leicester get away with first half was embarrassing........sometimes I struggle to see you as a saints fan the amount you side with the officials.

 

We haven't played the Ralph way (high tempo high pressing) hardly at all in 2021 and that is the most worrying thing, either the players are completely knackered or the confidence is shot. I have seen enough to think that Ralph could be successful here but we need a deeper squad with cover in all areas but whether we get it is another matter.

Yes, agree. That's a real concern. It's clearly the way he wants to play, but it's not happening. I think we need the season to end and reset the clock on this one. Much activity needed this summer.
