Just arrived at stansted airport and seen we’re 2-0 up at Leicester. annoying I have to miss the game, but sounds like we’ve had an electric start thus far.
I can't work out whether Ramsdale is going through a purple patch or he is better than anybody thought.
FT. 2-0. Excellent performance and result. Very professional display in the second half to absorb pressure, take the sting out the game and create some good chances on the break. We’ve done quite well against Leicester at the King Power recently. Won our last 3 games there in all competitions. 9 unbeaten - let’s keep it going A stress free weekend for us!
Aaron ramsdale has gone from being laughed as a £20m transfer to one of the leagues best signings in terms of value. really happy he is silencing his critics.
Xhaka better not come back into this team when he's fit. Also, Tavares is a beast. And his right foot is quite good so could challenge Tomiyasu too.
I actually might like Tavares more than tierney. Going to be interesting to see who ends up grabbing the starting place.
After Match day 3 - 20th After Match day 10 - 6th Match day 11 v Watford, if results go our way we could actually be back in the Top 4! Never would have predicted that 2 months ago! COYG!
The key thing here has been the new signings. People were critical of Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Tavarez, Lokonga, White etc.. but how good have they all been?! Tomiyasu in particular is superb. Hard working, aggressive, honest. It seemed a big worry when Minislat/Raul were both let go but Edu seems to be doing a good job in identifying the right players.
It's Arteta and Edu working together. And all of those signings have been really good. Always confuses me when a manager isn't given control of the transfer targets. Arteta knows what he wants from this team, and it's right that he's the one going out to get the players he needs.
