His vision for me is up there with xabi and stevie, as is his ability to execute that vison too. Just wish he could tackle like stevie
Probably even more so with robbo tbh. Hes neck and neck with trent for assists overall and is arguably the more all round player, definitely more defensively solid anyway. Goes under the radar cos he and trent have both been doing ridiculous numbers for years now.
Funny but when robertson and trent where running competition for top assist, yrent was getting all the plaudits. This season both have been, let's says less than perfect, but trent has been torn to shreds while robertson has escaped relatively unscathed. But its the dangers I suppose. If you climb high, you've got further to fall.
I thought Webb was going to join them in the studio after the game, but having re-read the article it seems it was just a PR stunt and he was going to go over some old ones from earlier this season before tonight's game. Cherry-picked to make them look good I presume. I didn't see it as I never watch the build-up.
It was interesting and informative. You should see if you can catch it on line, it might get you over your fear of ref bias.
Nah, easy to make things look good or bad using old audio. Get it played live during a game where they've no idea what's coming
Also - show me a quote where I claim that refs are biased - I've only ever bemoaned the fact that they aren't very consistent. I've also pointed out that I think the way players treat them is a disgrace, and that trial by television doesn't help. My point is more about the official body closing ranks and deflecting blame rather than on-field performances.
Yet I've already said I don't think they're biased against us so I don't know why you're labouring the point. Of course fans will be aggrieved when debatable decisions go against them, and we're all more likely to be sensitive to those involving our own teams - but we still frequently point out those affecting others. It would be more interesting if you debated points I've actually made, rather than those you just imagine I have because you're in an argumentative mood.
I watched. It was interesting, but they picked non controversial events. Nothing where any supported would thing how the **** have they given that.
I don't think refs are particularly biased, nor do I think they do a bad job... I thinks it pretty impressive what they see and the judgements they make... They're absolutely as professional as the players on the field. (Obviously I'm not including Tierney in that statement as he's as bad as anyone says) ... the players on the field screw up big-time occasionally, and so do the refs. Perfectly understandable, noone is perfect, but they do screw up... Rather than "oops, yeah, sorry, we screwed up." From refs it's always "yeah, uh, I was right all along, and you better not criticize me".
