    Probably an over-simplistic question, but why? Still think they should be finishing the season no matter when and re-jigging the calendar for the next few years if necessary.

    You’d need at least a week of “pre” season. But bosh out 2-3 games a week from there. Everyone in the same boat.

    Probably because next season must finish on time due to the now moved Euros, which have to happen in June, as they can’t overlap with the now also moved Olympics in July. The rest of the answer is in the thread mate.

    Police and transport need to be considered as well. That’s probably the main reason that this midlands tourney is being proposed, without fans.

    Depends when it’s playable again. I’d still rather they were creative with it and got it done. If that meant playing around the Euros then fine. ****ing olympics can **** off.

    Take as long as it takes to finish the season. If it finishes around January time we could have some 5 a side tournaments or even some It’s a knockout style obstacle courses to fill the empty weekends. I reckon that would be miles more interesting than 90% of footie matches to be honest.
    Man Utd v Man City in a wheelbarrow relay race?
    Sign me up for some of that ****.
    Plus we would be super fresh for the euros.
