yup the player of the month is an online popularity contest. I saw a piece where it was said that ronaldo has 110 million instrgram followers so if he is even nominated for POTM by scoring a tap in or taking a pen he will just automatically win it. Cealry the online internet warriors for LFC have been derelict in their duty to vote for our players. At this point ronaldo could win goal of the season for a tap in over salah's run in the last game.
Seems weird that player of the month is voted for by general public who are obviously just going to vote for their fav player over anything else. I’m sure that players aren’t really overly fussed about it. Much like the motm trophies they get given prob goes into a cupboard never to be seen again. But by the logic of fans voting player of the month, seems weird that they aren’t trusted to then vote for player of the season.
its that time of the month again Yes the second block of 4 is done. LFC just under the required trend for the title. Block 2 has been redeemed with a good win to cancel out the damage done by cheslea and city to our relentless title push. concede more goals, lose more points. Goals scored is flying, goals conceded is up to 5 and as a result points collected drops.
Theres little point give top half stats. the picture v the bottom half is getting scary for any club playing us form that tier of the prem. 3.8goals scored per game, 0.6 conceded (all in one game) meanwhile the next block has huge implications for us Man Utd A Brighton H West Ham A Arsenal H All currently top half, can we take 10/12 points? utd are dangerous and we rarely play well at old trafford. Ronaldo up top on his own helps us. its a big big game. Brighton are doing well, west ham doing well. arsenal better. but we need to win them all.
Liverpool in the Premier League under Klopp: 225 games, 7,192 touches in the opposition's box Man Utd in the Premier League under Solskjær: 102 games, 2,641 touches in the opposition's box Both 32 penalties awarded each.

#lfc career Win% when playing (Bear in mind that players like Hendo have been with us longer back when we were sh*t so their numbers won't be a good compared to the new signings: 0.581 Hendo 0.592 Firmino 0.601 Milner 0.638 Fab 0.639 Salah 0.649 Mane 0.665 Robbo 0.677 Ali 0.688 Trent 0.705 VVD 0.747 Naby Lad
graph makes no sense lol. its just "mo is awesome" and i put all the items out at "max" Are the saying that the scale of 0.3 assists is max and 6 touches in the opponents box is also max so 6 touches should mean 0.3 assists? on these type sof charts its really important the scales are reasonable and standardised for ability to compare players.
good stats this. it shows the players klopp is pushing on. it is interesting no full back appears on the presses.
The outer ring represents the top 5% of footballers in that same position - the fact that Mo pretty much touches the outer ring in all aspects shows how well rounded he is and elite in pretty much all categories.
These pressing stats are based on presses in the opposition half only. So defenders will naturally be deeper than the rest of the team so their pressing numbers will be low as a result. That's not to say they dont press at all.
usually a crucial art of the press is to go hard at the ball floated out by a keeper wide as the player is usually back to play and you can hem them in on the touchline. Massive opportunity to win the ball high up. Its interesting we are doing less of that now and more of the two midfielders centrally going up. to the front 5. the issue for me is which is more dangerous. leaving kdB in behind jones and conceding two goals or letting wide men get in behind the full backs.
Seven this season; Norwich 3-0 (PL) Leeds 3-0 (PL) Norwich 3-0 (cup) Brentford 3-3 (PL) Porto 5-1 (CL) Watford 5-0 (PL) A.Madrid 3-2 (CL)
The 8th was last away game of last season. United 2-4 liverpool before that was 1-2 v West Brom (big al’s header) and then 2 before that were 0-3 Burnley and 0-3 arsenal. So it’s actually 10 of the last 11 games.
