Well said Marcus. Plus, normally second halves last 45 minutes, This one will last 90 minutes. Of course they will be favourites now to go through but overturning a two goal lead in a return leg is anything but impossible.
I hope so. If not, get Roy Keane in and sort this fooking shìt fest out. Never mind all this fooking computer generated bollocks and "oh they are a good team" suck holing shìt. I'm sick of it. Get arrogant, get at em, get ahead,
First half we were absolutely awful. A lot better second half. There was also that fantastic ball from Scully which should have ended up a goal.
i have thought it and said it for a couple of seasons now, the squad we have is easily good enough to win games to get the club promoted yet for some reason (and not just this squad) when it comes to the crunch they do not turn up, time after time after time the other team are hungrier, more fight, more pace more passion, apart from that pompey game i cannot think of another where we have looked good...if they can do it for that game then why not others? they fell over and got plenty of fouls tonight, imagine the return leg, may as well all lie down and waste as much time as possible as they will if we do not get a couple of early goals, if we are to persist with wyke then get diamond and gooch on the wings to bomb crosses in, mcgeady and maguire putting it in from the edge of the box/taking shots, younger in defence please he has never let the team down but mcfadz and flan fill me with dread if both start, much as i love to see him on the team sheet i wonder if onien should start...a different ref could well have ended up sending him off tonight (i thought the ref did a good job on a few occasions to be fair and viewed things in a rational way) as could easily have been booked for his first 'big' tackle after a few niggly ones, then throwing their lad to the deck even though it was their lad that started grappling first, could his temperament let him and the side down on saturday? positives... well lately we have been good at coming from behind in games, it is still only half time and we got the crowd behind us in the 2nd leg...not all hope has faded yet but most of those 11 that started, bar hume of course, need to give themselves a damn good hoof up the ringpiece and actually turn up and a few need to put the type of performance in they are fully capable of doing.
Them 2 wont play again this season.... @pPhil__Smith Conor McLaughlin has suffered a stress fracture of the back. Denver Hume is a hamstring problem. McLaughlin must be made must be made of fecking Plywood
To be honest haven't yet read all previous posts but wanted my two pence worth put. We are still in this big time......early goal would help but big 90 mins and we will play every minute. With fans back in Stadium lets apply the heat! We are going to do this.....balls for glory....ha way the lads!!!!
Right but we should also have had at least 2 if not 3 second half. So why point out “they should have had” but totally ignore the ones we should have had? That’s more the point. You said we should’ve got a 0-0 second half. There was a top save by their keeper, an easy header from Wright, 2 glorious chances fir McGeady.
Sack the lot is the right words after this garbage, they were clueless, not interested etc in the first half and this has been going on for weeks now, Johnson has not improved this team since January and goes the way of Ross, Parkinson etc and we start all over again and will the new owner know what to do ? i hope. These players talk a good game but cannot do it so league 2 for most of them next season starting with Flannagan. we are a frigging laughing stock. I stopped going to away matches in 1991 so 30 years on nothing will get me back unless big money is spent.
I think we can score 2 or 3 goals...we have shown that, but I doubt very much our defence will keep a clean sheet, looks way too fragile
Realistically we're looking at needing at least four goals on Saturday, because there's no way we won't hand them a goal or two. Not going to happen, is it?
Fair play to Lincoln they deserved it. I bet their average age is a lot lower than ours and they played like it. Are their young players better than ours? Maybe but judging by some of their shooting and crossing maybe not. Yet the young lad was fast and aggressive enough to close down Burge. Once again if McGeady and Wyke have an off day we don't score. Tried and trusted formula that hasn't worked for quite some time. Sick of banging on about it but O'Nien is probably the most composed player we have on the ball and the best at doing something useful with it in an attacking sense and not giving it away. Power should be at RB instead and Luke in midfield but is that bollocks going to happen, we're in play it safe mode.
