I have heard that the club is going to make live games available on Hornet Hive but I can't find any details of this on the club website other than it is going to cost GBP10 a game. Does anyone know how this is going to work. Do I need to register somewhere and, if so, how I do it? Apparently ifollow is open to non UK residents but Watford is not included in the drop box.
I may be wrong, but I'd imagine that it means opening an account here - https://www.eticketing.co.uk/watfordfc/authentication/login?ReturnUrl=/watfordfc/interfaces/openid/provider.ashx?openid.assoc_handle=%7B637341226005434261%7D%7BrKWRWw%3D%3D%7D%7B20%7D&openid.ax.if_available=ext0%2Cext1%2Cext2%2Cext3%2Cext4%2Cext5%2Cext6%2Cext7%2Cext8%2Cext9%2Cext10%2Cext11&openid.ax.mode=fetch_request&openid.ax.type.ext0=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2Fcontact%2Femail&openid.ax.type.ext1=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2Fcontact%2Fcity%2Fhome&openid.ax.type.ext10=http%3A%2F%2Feticketing.co.uk%2FclientRef&openid.ax.type.ext11=http%3A%2F%2Feticketing.co.uk%2FcurrentSeasonTickets&openid.ax.type.ext2=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2Fcontact%2Fcountry%2Fhome&openid.ax.type.ext3=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2Fcontact%2FpostalCode%2Fhome&openid.ax.type.ext4=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2Fcontact%2Fstate%2Fhome&openid.ax.type.ext5=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2Fcontact%2FpostalAddress%2Fhome&openid.ax.type.ext6=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2Fcontact%2Fphone%2Fhome&openid.ax.type.ext7=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2FnamePerson%2Ffirst&openid.ax.type.ext8=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2FnamePerson%2Flast&openid.ax.type.ext9=http%3A%2F%2Faxschema.org%2FnamePerson%2Fprefix&openid.claimed_id=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.identity=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.mode=checkid_setup&openid.ns=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0&openid.ns.ax=http%3A%2F%2Fopenid.net%2Fsrv%2Fax%2F1.0&openid.realm=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thehornetsshop.co.uk%2F&openid.return_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thehornetsshop.co.uk%2Foid_return.php%3Fjanrain_nonce%3D2020-08-27T10%253A56%253A40ZEvw6O5
The app is on all platforms I.e. android, apple. If you live abroad I think it's a fiver. If you are a season ticket holder and paid the £20 deposit then it's a fiver. Also if you are a regular at the vic then there is also a form to fill in for ballots to the games when fans are allowed back in. I believe those tickets will be £20 Hope that helps. Check the club website and email the ticket office for more info if you can't find the information.
I am impressed that you typed this all out without a single mistake. It makes you wonder what sort of mind can make such a thing up, let alone understand it.
If it is an app does that mean we can only view it on our phone/pad? Irritating to say the least. I have never understood why anyone would want to watch any serious video on a small screen.
Many TV's now have Internet and apps also smart phones can link to the TV so you can watch it there i.e. I watched lockdown matches by phone but directed throughthe TV (that said, it was so bad on most occasionsI couldn't watch and eitherwalked out the room or turned it off anyway!). I think I saw they only reccomended to watch it via the app but that doesn't rule out other options.
Seems it's cheaper to have this I follow/Hive thing the club are talking about for overseas fans than fans here. Some sort of EFL regulation apparently.
Got an email from the club today. I'm still not sure whether the Hive thing provides coverage of away games, or whether overseas fans get the games that are on Sky. It would appear that Sky NZ is showing Championship matches but it will cost me about GBP400 to get that because I have to buy their standard subscription for things I don't want and then add a sports subscription for a year. Given the number of times they will show Watford means that that would cost me about GBP50 a match. Then they wonder why people use illegal streams.
Those figures I was quoting were wrong, here is the link to subscriptions and explanations: https://www.watfordfc.com/news/Introducing-Hive-Live-Watford-FCs-New-Matchday-Streaming-Service I think if it's a live on TV match the club will still subsidise though.
