I wish the commentator would stop with the verbal masturbation.
Sorry but we have it all wrong, according to one on the fantastic FB Fan sites, its all McCarthy's fault
I don't mind him trying something different - I liked the line up before kick off. But it was obvious after 20 minutes we were getting totally ripped apart. He should have changed it way before HT. The players heads dropped after the 2nd goal and then it was damage limitation.
Liverpool are sh*t. We should have won this.
Yay! We didn't lose 0 - 9
Nailed it with the score and joker in the prediction league
Just looked at Liverpool’s scores this season. They have scored 3 or more in 80% of their games. Two 4-0, two 5-0. No shame in losing here, just think it would have been better not to change formation. 39 goals in 13 games. Awesome.
I think we need a touch of realism. As we are aware, we cannot get a really good striker (Ings was but was crocked) who’s going to get 20+ goals and for some reason those we do have lack composure in front of goal. So we tried something different- and in the end it could have come off.
McCarthy caused Covid-19 and the African slave trade.
I'll happily take that result. Onto the next one.
Need a response on Wednesday. If we hadn't lost to Norwich this wouldn't have mattered at all. But the 2nd half last week, plus the manner of this defeat means we need a win on Wednesday.
Exactly this. He tried something, it didn't work. We end up losing a game we were always (well, 99 times out of 100) going to lose anyhow, by the same margin as they took Arsenal apart, and less than they did versus Manchester United. Hardly a disgrace.
It was a free hit. Onwards.
No surprise really. Liverpool have smashed a few sides this season, United, Arsenal included. We wern't the first and won't be the last.
Yes you can say the tactical switch didn't work but lets be honest, if he didn't switch it up we would probably have had the same outcome! Worth the risk in my opinion
Exactly. And with hindsight, you're possibly right that we should have stuck with what we knew. But hey, it was a gamble that backfired against a brilliant team. There we go.
I think it's solely down to Liverpool being a lot better than us.
Yeh hey we won!
And 16/18 of the other sides in the league.
Easy to say when you didn't travel up for the game. I travelled with the knowledge we'd most likely lose but hoping for a performance like the City game. Instead it was all over after half an hour and we could have lost 9-0 again. Not happy.
We lost, it wasn't a massive hiding and we learned a long time ago that Ralph doesn't really care about GD
He tried something different it didn't work. At least he was trying something new (my biggest criticism of him)
Do I want him gone? Yeah absolutely, but sure as **** not as a result of today.
