I`ve only been to Anfield once, in 2012. There were a couple of half-hearted verses of YNWA before kick off, but apart from that all the noise was coming from the Saints fans until they scored the only goal just before half time. We were in with the home crowd in the centenary stand, and they spent most of the game slagging off their own players, Jonjo Shelvey in particular. 1:1 this weekend!
"I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!"
I'm glad to see that the Saints match thread has become even more labyrinthine than normal. This shows the obvious intellect of contributors, not to mention our ability to talk about anything not involving football. Oh, and we'll win 2-0. Now that IS a dream.
Where do we start with this game? My team line up Forster Lyanco-Bedder-Simisu Tino-JWP-Romeu-Peraud Redders or Ely Adams-A Armsrtong we need to really squeeze i
I think we're going to need more than eleven players on the pitch. We could start with two goalkeepers, have eight across the back, six or seven in midfield, and three, no go for it, four up front. If nothing else, it will promote us up the MoTD running order
I think that a change of formation might work with 5 at the back and 3 CMs. I think that Tino needs a rest as he appears to have tired in games lately and he is still only 19. If Stuey is fit I would bring him on later or if we are chasing the game, the same with Redders and Broja.
I would be surprised if Ralph didn't give Tino a rest at some point. Trouble is it's been quite difficult to do that because he's been so good.
