this sums it up perfectly for me. It sheer unadulterated pride and admiration for the efforts. There's not one thats shirked anything. as deadpool would say "maximum effort". win, lose or draw on the last day there will be a party in klopp's hotel room. that for me say it all. Its about putting the effort in for them, knowing they put everything in and saying thats the best we could do. hopefully there is a bus parade with 2, 3 or even 4 trophies. even with 2 its absolutely brilliant.
Problem is villa play Thursday. Ideal would be gerrard rests his player for Thursday for Sunday but in theory if your targeting a game to win it’ll be the Thursday one. Stupid fixture but there we go
For minus not to fall over the ball and give city 2 or 3 goals would take a miracle. If city had ederson sent of fin thr 5th minute they'd still win by 3. If kdb was carried off they'd still win by 3. This is going to be a massive party with paid guests (paid to attend, pepe has already leaked the fact the either will be full somehow) it'll be 6 or 7-0 win with city putting on a show and all their plastics waving little plastic flags. There is literally no universe where villa with this set of players gets a point. None. Even the one we're city get food poisoning and have to **** themselves on the side of the pitch every few minutes. Just enjoy beating wolves and sending the players off with big thanks and feeling good for the cl final.
Hmmmm.... bend over for Burnley and turn up at City, OR turn up for Burnley and bend over at City.... Decisions decisions
This is it. It is the last home game for Villa so there's something to play for. I think we'll know for sure from his team selection tonight and/or subs and when he makes them.
Makes sense to me. No club wants a thumping at home sending fans away grumpy. It cost Rogers any vestige of his job with us v Stoke. It was why Southampton sat off us deep as anything until we tried to give it to them for 15mins. Villa have to turn up tonight. Their fans had wildly unrealistic ambitions for this side and manager and frankly they wouldn't be satisfied imo if they were in West hams position for example.
Don't think it really makes a difference. Gerrard could rest everyone, train solely for the City game and still lose heavily. I've said before he is a manager now who won't manage Liverpool for at least 4 years, maybe longer or maybe never at all. He needs to look out for himself, not his past.
I'm trying to imagine what it must be like to be so joyless that you expect the worst in everything. Scary.
