Very doable, clearly a lot better than the likes of Spurs and Newcastle. Can see you lot and us 3rd and 4th, in either order.
He's got us 3rd (atm) and a trophy in his first season after the debacle we were 12 months ago. I'll take that and the drubbing from you today no problem. This is about the long term and we're a good work in progress under him. We're a striker, a midfielder and probably a RB light from that next level.
Nor sure on right back, think we should stick with AWB and see if Ethan Laird can push, with Dalot still in the squad. I can't name a right back we'd pursue as much as anything. 100% definitely need to go big in centre forward and centre midfield. De Jong, Rice, Bellingham should be chased, big. Weghorst nowhere near good enough. Osimhen or Kane for that position.
Get this loss out of the way, learn from it and move on. That defeat can't be allowed to define or derail the good work that has been done this season - it's one of those things, bad taste in the mouth, but it's only three points and not points lost to a rival for top four.
I'd forgot about Laird. If Livpl get top 4 which looks likely they'll sell the nan's silver to get Bellingham. I think that one seems to be on the cards for them. I like De Jong but then I love playmakers who just look calm on the ball... which is why I'm missing Eriksen. Strikers - Toney might have served his ban by June
Good point on Toney. He's bound to get a ban but could have played the last couple of months and been better than Weghorst, for all his effort. Suppose today has been the only bad game, so wouldn't have made that much difference I suppose. Can see his ban extending into next season though, which is the problem. We definitely need a centre forward. And actual No.9. Weghorst had the look of an oil tanker on the pitch today, and he wasn't even playing at 9 anyway most of the time. Siz foot six? We never get a cross in to him ffs. It's pointless.
You do realise that our players have to be insured against any number of risks, propriety being one..........I can't see anyone taking on a policy for a liability like him given his history.
I have zero knowledge about any of that We need a No. 9 though and there aren't many decent ones about. I think Kane is the best option,, he suits us perfectly and would have a field day playing for us... but I can't see him being anything other than short term, and I imagine Ten Hag will be looking for someone who can grow with the team he's building over 5/6 years.
His ban will (apparently) include the the summer break. Im sure I read he admitted the charges so he could well have served his ban by September
You just don't want us going for Harry That's a bit weird having a ban that includes a period when the season's finished.
I’m sure after that result, Liverpool will start running around suggesting that they are back. But this wasn’t simply a Liverpool victory. It was a complete capitulation by United. The result is clearly not the kind that you use to make a judgement, albeit very embarrassing for the team and manager. But let’s enjoy the BBC in the next week reciting new articles of how far behind Liverpool we are.
I’m glad I benched him in my fantasy team. He had been decent lately but I knew which one could be a road too far. That was the third game of conceding four or more goals for us this season. What an horrible record!
