I don’t believe Stokoe does make a very good comparison, when he had his bad streaks it was after all our best players were being picked off, LJ is supposed to have already got rid of the crap players and replaced them with better players and he’s still having a loosing streak so it’s exactly the opposite of Stokoe

My gut call is that he will be given the next transfer window and maybe up to Easter then if we are not in a very strong promotion position at that point then KLD will pull the trigger.

Tueart and Horswill, who I believe were the major departures, signed for Man City in March 74. The 9 games without a win happened between Dec 73 and Jan 74, before they left.

I think they will stick with it. They have put their team together to move the club forward and believe in what they are doing
If that's the case I'd like to see them be pragmatic and bring in some support. Maybe an experienced defensive coach.
    Someone like Steve Bould

Come on mate, lets have a bit of balance. When he took an overhauled squad at the start of this season and got 9 wins out of 12. When he got Bristol City punching above their weight. When he played Man City in the cup semi, lost 5-3 over two legs and had Pep saying great things. When he got a Wembley win with us. He isnt top rank but lets at least be decent enough to look at the upsides as well as the downsides. He may end up going, and so be it, but he ie far from all bad.

He's certainly done enough in his career to be given a fair crack of the whip here. My defence of him on here is more vehement than my true feelings, as I do think he has some failings, but a lot of the criticism isn't based in reality, in my opinion. His past should show that he has a much better grasp on what is required than many give him credit for. Which, in turn, should make people consider that maybe some of the problems that have occurred recently are due to factors beyond his, or any manager's, control. That's not to absolve him of all responsibility mind.

You have hit the nail on the head for me, “over coaching” could very well be LJ’s problem.

So basically he isn’t a “great coach” which the poster was questioning

Phil Parkinson’s Bradford beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and also reached the quarter finals of the FA Cup

Our supporters who continually whine and want our managers replaced after a few defeats are a far bigger problem to SAFC than Lee Johnson ever will be.

Anybody who expects us to have a 'great coach' in the third division is an idiot, frankly.

The point isn't the result of the game but the praise he got for his tactical approach.

Yes but the poster who said he was a great coach is defending Johnson. When another poster questioned it, he is told to have a “bit of balance”. Weird stance, I would have thought the bloke who called him great needs a bit of balance

I don't understand why you think anything is a weird stance?

Fell top gave a detailed explanation about his/her thoughts.

Who is James like? Interesting that in both cases, Mourinho was on the receiving end
