Cameron Carter-Vickers played 90 minutes in Stoke's 2-0 loss to West Brom, picking up a booking after conceding the penalty for the second goal
Anthony Georgiou was an 81st minute sub in Ipswich's 1-0 win over Rochdale Jack Roles missed Cambridge's 1-1 draw (and subsequent penalty loss) to Arsenal U21s due to whatever knock he picked up two weeks ago
George Marsh wasn't in the squad for Orient's 1-1 draw with Brighton U21s, which Orient won on penalties
Cameron Carter-Vickers: Stoke vs Barnsley (Saturday 3:00pm) Luke Amos: QPSpurs vs Middlesbrough (Saturday 3:00pm) Jack Clarke: Leeds vs Blackburn (Saturday 3:00pm)...although who am I kidding? Anthony Georgiou: Ipswich vs Lincoln (Saturday 3:00pm) & Colchester (Tuesday 7:30pm) Kaziah Sterling: Doncaster vs Wimbledon (Saturday 3:00pm)* Jack Roles: Cambridge vs Exeter (Saturday 3:00pm) & Peterbrough (Tuesday 7:30pm)** George Marsh: Leyton Orient vs Malden & Tiptree (Sunday 12:45pm)
Cameron Carter-Vickers was an unused sub in Stoke's 4-2 win over Barnsley Luke Amos played 62 minutes in QPSpurs' 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough Jack Clarke was an unused sub in Leeds' 2-1 win over Blackburn. Anyone know how to program a macro for this? Anthony Georgiou played 84 minutes in Ipswich's 1-1 draw with Lincoln Kazaiah Sterling wasn't in the squad for Doncaster's 1-1 draw with Wimbledon, presumably due to his mystery leg injury Jack Roles wasn't in the squad for Cambridge's 1-1 draw with Exeter, presumably because the knock he picked up in training was the sort Erik Lamela picks up George Marsh was an unused sub in Orient's 2-1 loss to Malden & Tiptree
Because nobody seems to think it;s worth publishing Football League Trophy squads, this took some digging around on Twitter Anthony Georgiou played 87 minutes in Ipswich's 1-0 loss to Colchester, because that team was apparently put on this earth to be ****ing irritating Jack Roles missed Cambridge's 2-01 loss to Peterborough due to injury The good news is that Roles has been cleared to return this weekend https://www.cambridgeindependent.co...k-ready-to-roll-for-cambridge-united-9089855/
Roles seems to be picking up lots of niggly knocks and sprains. I make the last one his third or fourth already this season. The result of (finally) playing competitive football in a physically demanding league, or is he injury prone?
The most recent one was a knock he picked up in training, which took a little longer to heal than expected because he's Spurs through and through
Anthony Georgiou: Ipswich vs Lincoln (Tuesday 7:45pm) Kazaiah Sterling: Doncaster vs Wimbledon (Tuesday 7:45pm) Jack Roles: Cambridge vs Walsall (Saturday 3:00pm) & Exeter (Tuesday 7:45pm) George Marsh: Orient vs Scunthorpe (Saturday 3:00pm) ...seriously, since when did matches get postponed in League One due to international callups?
Sixth-tier Hemel Hempstead Town have had to postpone matches due to international callups recently. They've got a bloke playing for Montserrat and two for Grenada. About half of the Montserrat side is from London.
Jack Roles was a 45th minute sub in Cambridge's 2-1 loss to Walsall, picking up a booking for a total clattering George Marsh was an unused sub in Orient's 2-0 loss to Scunthorpe
Kazaiah Sterling will be having a scan on Thursday to try and get to the bottom of the leg injury that's kept him out for the past few weeks
A brief summary of what's been going on * Sometime between the 8th and 13th of September he picked up a knock in training, which Doncaster believed to be a dead leg he'd be back from within a couple of weeks * Around the 10th of October he came back to Spurs, as he'd been on the shelf for five weeks by that point, where we not only took over treatment but also took scans of the leg - although no diagnosis has been given * A week or two later he returned to Doncaster and a scan was scheduled for today, but it's been pushed back to Thursday It's hard not to worry that the most likely scenario is Sterling picked up a minor injury which was later aggravated in training that Doncaster's medical team misdiagnosed, but with the amount of time he's been out it really does look like this is the most rational explanation
