The Bournemouth defence well earned their clean sheet and CCV more than played his part. I imagine his no nonsense approach goes down well with Woodgate.
As we've reportedly taken up the option to extend his contract by a year, it's likely we'll get a decent fee for him this summer - especially if Bournemouth go up
Gone under the radar, but that's one of our loans that appears to have worked out well. Played consistently for a team that's doing well, even though it's a third tier side. Made 50 appearances for them this season at centre-half and right-back and a lot of them have been the full 90.
There's probably the chance of a Championship loan for Eyoma next season Preferably one where the team bloody plays him...
Genuine question: can anyone remember if we recalled Kaziah Sterling from his loan at Morton or not? In other news, Morton won the second leg of the Championship playoff final 3-0, making it 4-0 on aggregate
Ryan Sessegnon played 69 minutes in Hoffenheim's 2-1 win against Hertha Berlin, getting the assist for the equaliser Juan Foyth missed Villarreal's 2-1 loss to Los Ladrones do Madrid due to the whole hamstring injury snafu Paulo Gazzaniga played 90 minutes in Elche's 2-0 win against Athletico Bilbao Cameron Carter Vickers played 90 minutes in Bournemouth's 3-1 playoff semi final second leg loss which saw them lose 3-2 on aggregate, getting an assist for their goal Brandon Austin was an unused sub in Orlando City's 1-0 win over Toronto TJ Eyoma played 90 minutes in Lincoln's 2-1 playoff semi final second leg loss against Sunderland, which saw them win the tie 3-2 on aggregate
Eyoma’s going to Wembley! Lincoln beat Sunderland 3-2 on agg. Hopefully he doesn’t suffer the typical Spurs choke in a final, lol. Though if they win it, I wonder if another loan back to them will be on the cards?
Looking back at previous seasons, I'd say our loan decisions this year have been pretty solid compared to most. Skipp and Sess are the obvious standout success stories. CCV has impressed at Bmouth and should fetch a bit of money in the summer. Gazza has probably done just enough at Elche to attract interest in the summer (although I wouldn't be against NEW MANAGER simply keeping him as 2nd choice). Foyth has been a huge win in that we'll either get £15m for him or receive a very useful utility player who finally has solid experience under his belt. White has done well at Pompey and in hindsight probably should have gone out at the beginning of the season. Those who went out to lower league clubs haven't been as succcessful but then that bracket of loanee very rarely 'makes it' at a higher level. All in all, I'd say Clarke and Parrott have been the only stand out disappointments, although injury has disrupted both of their seasons.
Juan Foyth played 88 minutes in Villarreal's Europa League final win, picking up a booking while also looking like this
