Humans have existed on earth for something like 7 million years mate ... put that into perspective with your 1000 years ... hence the point in the first place.

 

I've occasionally thought about leading my own cult. If I'm honest though it's just to have loads of girlfriends who worship me and do everything I tell them or they'll die and burn in hell.

Seem to remember reading the bible a lot when I was at Catholic Primary school and have read the Quran in English.

Interesting the similarities between a lot of the content of the two. Both are guides on how to live your life but the Quran is more practical. Whereas the Bible says Thou shalt not commit adultery or covet thy neighbour’s wife the Quran states how many witnesses you need for the charges to stick etc. All useful stuff.

pretty sure one of the 10 rules of the Abrahamic religions is no killing, in fact the last 5 can be basically summed up as 'don't be a lying ****'.

The bible is 10 rules from God, and 1,000 pages on why you can get out of number 6. Plus a bit of pro-Roman anti-jew propaganda so it would be popular.

 

And that **** was taught in schools.....shame on the education system for manipulation of young children's innocent minds.

Seriously religious books should be on the same shelf as any other fictional book.
