Justification !

 

The jogger case was clearly framed as innocent black jogger lynched by racist white men.

The 2 elderly people murdered in cold blood story didn't mention race neither did the the other story where a white man was killed by black kids.

Which is what Ciaran mentioned earlier.

Black people kill each other and all other racial groups in wildly disproportionate numbers, even though they only make up about 13% of the population of America.

If DeyShaun rolled up to the house and tried to break in then Cletus fired off a couple of rounds I could see the justification, that is why so many Yanks say they are tooled up in the first place. Hopping into your Ute going looking for someone fitting the description (i.e. everyone black) with a shotgun locked and loaded is premeditated, it is malice aforethought and can't be considered a citizen's arrest or self defence.

With regards to the story never being "white person killed by black person" the narrative used by the popular press has moved away from making this sort of statement as it is deemed to be furthering the negative stereotype that only negroes are to blame. Anyone else notice reports say "Police investigating the stabbing/shooting/robbery/rape are looking for a male suspect believed to be wearing trainers a tracksuit and a hooded top, slim to medium build, approx late teens or early 20's and around 5'10"? Omitting that the person is black just in case it upsets others is farcical. If the victim only saw the perpetrator briefly (running off with the handbag) I get it but if the thug's face has been clearly seen I fail to understand why colour is not worth mentioning.
