The Chairboys continued their run in midweek in dramatic fashion with a last minute equaliser, before the long journey home, getting bed at gone 4am so not a lot of training will have been done this week ahead of this weekends trip to Wiltshire to take on the Robins at the County Ground, who were beaten by a late goal from the Imps at home on Tuesday. Gaz had the welcome return to the squad of Luke O'Nien in midweek and is boosted by Beano's return from a one game suspension, Stewart should return to the starting line up replacing AEA, goal Tuesday hero PCH may start. This will be my first away game of the season and I will be hoping our long away run will continue and we can return to wining ways after two draws and fly home from the Robins nest having stolen the points
Just a quick heads up about the weather for this game tomorrow, our area is predicted to be hammered by storm Brian with torrential rain and up to 80 mph winds so i wouldn't be surprised if it's called off. I was going to travel the fairly short distance from Wells for this but i've had another setback with an illness so will have to follow it on twitter According to TBFP if we win it will break our club record of 13 away games without defeat.
Cheers guys it's really peeing me off but hopefully the players will bring a big smile to my face at F/T.
Eze on the bench one of only 5 subs one a keeper,Mackaill-Smith also on the bench, even williams who spends all his time as sub defender is out injured.
We'll have the wind behind us 2nd half. Some Wycombe fans who are there say we're playing hoofball in this weather ffs!
To expect players to travel up to Carlisle get home at 4am in the morning then get going again in crap weather traveling away again is asking a bit much. Pompey had to travel away to Doncaster & then to Blackburn & look what happened to them. They complain in the Premier League
Did someone mention travelling a long way for a match? We used to get Carlisle on a Tuesday or Hartlepool or the like. Don't think doing the second game away to the far flung Swindon from your place is too much or an excuse. You were always going to fall off the run at some point. We just had Blackburn on Tuesday and Wimbledon on Saturday and we managed 4 points. Can't have too much sympathy for Portsmouth in those circumstances given where we are in the league.
Strange as it may seem the answer is yes. There are a few teams in leagues one and two you would be surprised at being there historically.
Non league is even worse. Also anybody thinking of watching Solihull Moors tonight in Eastleigh entrance is free for away supporters.
