Why would NUFC offer someone a job if they hadn't been able to agree terms ffs <doh>

"Yes, we'd like to offer you the job ...

... now can we talk about salary, budget, staff, etc."

    Pathetic.

I have no idea at all what to make of that.

Assuming it is not an elaborate wind up, and way over my head, what could possibly posess players to do that? The first win of the many winnable games of the season, in December, and all that's missing from the photo is the Champion's League trophy.

Big win an all that, they all are when you're ****e, but get on with winning three more before Christmas and then behave like idiots.

Newcastle have begun to remove the Sports Direct signs from around the club's St James' Park stadium, much to the delight of fans.

The signs are seen as a hangover from previous owner Mike Ashley, who owned the sports retail firm and had the signs on each side of the stadium.

Work began on Monday morning and will continue this week.

It is hoped that they will all be removed before Newcastle host Manchester City on 19 December.

After taking over the club on 7 October, new co-owner Amanda Staveley said the club would look to remove the signs as soon as possible.

Newcastle United Supporters' Trust board member Alex Hurst said the move represented "a collective outpouring of relief and joy" for fans.

He added on social media: "It might not make sense to others, but you need to have lived the 14 years of what the signage symbolised and what that did to Newcastle and the city. It's a good day."

    Beyond parody, they really are.

Ashley was not the best, but was a long way from being the worst owner out there.

Now, they are locked in a clinch with one of the most despicable men in the world, loathed everywhere, laughed at everywhere, and are now appealing to everyone to understand their pain!

This will get worse. They will be displaying classic signs of Stockhom Syndrome soon, when even the lowest wattage among them realise that their club has gone, and they are now obliged to turn up and cheer, in honour of a man who had a former colleague murdered and chopped up, and had them record that inhuman act.

They will STILL tell themselves that Bin Salman is just a canny lad who is missunderstood .

Their imbeciles exist on every level from politicians to priests.

I've just written to the church asking for their view on one of their clerics who writes prayers about Mike Ashley and the club. This sad little dope actually asked God to rid NUFC of Ashley and help them in their 'suffering'. As a Christian I find that offensive enough but I'd like to know what he has to say about the new owners.

I'll pursue him until he's forced to give me an answer or badger the church to respond.

This is his prayer ffs <doh>

    “Dear Father in Heaven
Listen to our prayer in the midst of our suffering.
To be at St James Park is where we want to be. To win is great. To see passion, excitement, endeavour and skill is ecstatic. To lose is always terrible. It takes some time to recover. But now we are being attacked from within. We are more financially secure now, but the cost is great. No involvement in cups is allowed. Best players sold. Mediocre mid-table finish is what is demanded.

The balance sheet has become the most important thing. But this is not what we want.

And so Heavenly Father, grant that the owner will see more to this than profit and balance sheet. That there is more to life than money. It’s about families and belonging. Being happy. If you spend your hard-earned money on a match ticket, it’s an insult to witness passionless, mercenary football. Our family is Newcastle. Give us what we want.

But, if he is not prepared to change Heavenly Father, give him the insight to know it’s time to go.

Give us a new owner who will take our spirit and not crush it but revive it. Give us someone who will not rename our stadium from St James Park, not change the colour of our strip. Not rebrand us into something we are not.

We’ve had highs and lows. Notably the Fairs Cup. That was a great year. But too many lows.

    Help us now,

    Amen.”

What a rat-faced little turd he is.

This man, if he embraces the atrocity that is Saudi Arabia, is not a Chistian att all.

He is more like some 19th century rector, taking the money, taking his congregation for granted, ( possibly alienating much of it) and utterly failing to understand what a Christian is.
