Could we invest some of the £60m into scientists to create a time machine? We could buy Barnes and co. and since prices were much lower back then we wouldn't need to keep much back. Would be a superb long term investment too!

Ok, realistic: BR tries to replace Suarez by buying HBA and plays him up-front. Newcastle play hardball so we only get him after a £25m + Carrol offer. After 20 mins in the first preseason game, he and Joe Allen high-five after a Sturridge goal and end up dislocating each others shoulders. With no striker at the club, and no one interested in joining, BR publicly apologises to Carroll for not recognizing his genius before and swoops for him again from Newcastle for the remaining £35m of our transfer funds.

Newcastle buy the remainder of France and Senegal's first team squad for the £60m we give them and finish first in the PL.

There were a few rumours of us talking to Ancelotti re. a Sporting director role. FSG still want one which I think is a sensible idea.

Our appeal to players is slowly fading and a big name like Ancelotti will help attract them.
